The effect of Bitcoin on the financial economy of Turkey

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Bitcoin'in Türkiye ekonomisinin finansal piyasası üzerindeki çeşitli etkilerini araştırmaktadır. Her şeyden önce, tez, paranın tarihsel arka planını, kripto para birimlerinin yükselmesine yol açan mali ve politik atmosferi detaylandırır. Bunu yapmak için, çalışma eski günlerde barter sisteminin varlığını ve mal paralarının yükselişini anlatıyor. Ticaret karmaşık ve sınır ötesi hale geldikçe, takas sistemi borsalar ve son olarak kağıt paralar ile yer değiştirdi.Çalışma, Blockchain olarak bilinen bitcoin ve kehanet sisteminin yükselişini anlatmak için hareket ediyor. Bitcoin sistemini avantaj ve eksiklikleri ile detaylandıran çalışma, Bitcoin sisteminin Türkiye'nin finansal sistemine olası etkilerini araştırıyor.Bu özel kripto para biriminin daha düşük penetrasyonunun, ülkeye bu para birimlerine böyle bir saldırıya karşı hazırlıklı olmaları için zaman kazandıracağı gerçeğini özetlemektedir.

This study explores the Bitcoin's various effects on the financial market of Turkish economy. First of all, the thesis details the historical background of money, the financial and political atmosphere which led to the rise of crypto currencies. To do that, the study tells existence of barter system in the old days, and the rise of commodity monies. As the trade becomes complicated and cross-border, the barter system is displaced with bill of exchanges and lastly paper monies. The study moves to tell the rise of bitcoin and its ledger system, known as the Blockchain. Detailing the Bitcoin system with its advantage and shortcomings, the study explores the possible effects of Bitcoin system on the financial system of Turkey. It sums up the reality that the lower penetration of this particular cryptocurrency provides times to the country to make itself ready against such intrusion of these currencies.
