dc.description.abstractÖZ Yüksek Lisans Tezi YAN DALDA T-BÜTİL AMİN VE P-TOLUİDİN TABANLI AMİD GRUBU TAŞIYAN YENİ METAKRİLAT MONOMERLERİ VE POLİMERLERİNİN SENTEZİ VE STİRENLE KOPOLİMERİZASYONU Fuat YAVUZ Harran Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Kimya Anabilim Dalı Danışman: Yrd.Doç Dr. İbrahim EROL Yd: 2005, Sayfa: 73 Bu çalışmın ilk basamağında p-toluidin ve t-bütil amin başlangıç maddelerinin kloroasetil klorürle, trietil amin varlığında, benzen çözücüsünde, 25°C sıcaklıkta etkileştirilmesi ile N-tersiyer bütil kloroasetamid ve N-(4-metil)fenil kloroasetamid sentezlendi. İkinci basamağında N-tersiyer bütil kloroasetamid ve N-(4-metil)fenil kloroasetamid bileşiklerinin sodyum metakrilatla TEBAC ve Nal katalizörlüğünde asetonitril çözücüsünde 80°C sıcaklıkta etkileşmesiyle [2-okso-2-(4-metil) fenil amino] etilen metakrilat (PEMA) ve (2-okso-2-t-bütil amino) etilen metakrilat (TBAMA) monomerleri sentezlendi. Daha sonra PEMA ve TBAMA monomerleri bezoilperoksit (BPO) başlatıcısı ile 1,4-dioksan çözücüsünde 65°C sıcaklıkta homopolimerleri sentezlendi. PEMA ve TBAMA monomerlerinin ayn ayn benzoilperoksit (BPO) başlatıcısı ile 1,4-dioksan çözücüsünde, 65°C sıcaklıkta stiren (ST) monomeri ile kopolimerleri sentezlendi. Sentezlenen monomerler, homopolimerler ve kopolimerlerin yapılan İR, *H-NMR ve 13C-NMR teknikleri kullanılarak karakterize edildi. Kopolimerlerdeki monomer bileşimi elemetal analiz ile belirlendi. Homopolimer ve kopolimerlerin termal davramşlan termogravimetrik (TGA) ve diferansiyel taramalı kalorimetre (DSC) yöntemleri kullanılarak belirlendi. Kopolimerizasyondaki monomerlerin reaktiflik oranlan Kelen-Tüdos(K-T) ve Finemann-Ross(F-R) metodlan kullanılarak hesaplandı. dc.description.abstractABSTRACT Master Thesis SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF NEW METHACRLATE MONOMERS AND POLYMERS HAVING PENDANT AMIDE GROUPS HASED ON T-BUTYL AMINE AND P-TOLUIDINE AND THEIR COPOLYMERIZATION WITH STYRENE Fuat YAVUZ Harran University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Chemistry Supervisor: Assist Prof. Dr. İbrahim EROL Year: 2005, Page: 73 In the first step of this study, N-tert-butyl chloroacetamide and N-(4-methyl)phenyl chloroacetamide were prepared by reaction of p-toluidine and tert-butyl amine with chloroacetylchloride in the presence triethylamine catalyst at the 25°C in benzene. In the second step [2-oxo-2-(4-methyl) phenyl amino] ethylene methacrylate (PEMA) and (2-oxo-2-tert-butyl amino) ethylene methacrylate (TBAMA) monomers were prepared by the reaction of N-tert-butyl chloroacetamide and N-(4- methyl)phenyl chloroacetamide with sodium methacrylate in the presence of TEBAC and Nal catalysts, at 80°C in acetonitrile. The homopolymerization of PEMA and TBAMA were carried out in the presence of benzoylperoxide (BPO) and 1,4-dioxane solvent at 65°C. The free radical copolymerizations of PEMA and TBAMA with styrene (ST) were carried out in 1,4-dioxane solvent by using benzoylperoxide (BPO) initiator. The Monomers, homopolymers and copolymers were characterized by Infrared (IR), 13C and 'H-NMR techniques. The copolymers compositions were determined by elemental analysis. Thermal properties of the polymers were also studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The monomer - reactivity ratios were calculated according to the general copolymerization equation using Kelen- Tüdös(K-T) and Finemann-Ross(F-R) linearization methods.
