dc.description.abstractTetrasodyum;3-[[4-[[4-[(6-amino-1-hidroksi-3-sülfonato-2-naftilazo)]-6-sülfonato-1-naftil]azo]-1-naftil]azo] naftalin-1,5 disülfonat (Direct Blue 71) azo boyarmaddesinin elektrokimyasal davranışları Britton Robinson tamponunda pH 2-12 aralığında kare dalga voltametrisi, diferansiyel puls voltametrisi, döngüsel voltametri ve örneklemeli akım polarografisi teknikleriyle incelenmiştir. Elektrot reaksiyonunun pH'a bağlı olduğu, pH arttıkça elektrot reaksiyonunun negatif potansiyele kaydığı, asidik ve bazik bölgelerde farklı sayıda protonun elektrot reaksiyonuna katıldığı gözlemlenmiştir. Azo boyarmaddenin asidik ortamda elektroda adsorbe olduğu, tersinmez olarak indirgendiği belirlendi. Azo boyarmaddenin kompleks bir mekanizma üzerinden indirgendiği bulundu.
dc.description.abstractElectrochemical behaviours of an azo dye derivative; tetrasodium; 3-[[4-[ [4-[(6-amino-1-hydroxy-3-sulphonato-2-naphthylazo)]-6-sulphonato-1-naphthyl]azo]-1-naphthyl]azo] naphthalene-1,5 disulphonate (Direct Blue 71) were investigated by using voltammetric techniques such as differential pulse voltammetry, square wave voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry and sampled current polarography in Britton -Robinson buffer at range of pH 2-12. It was observed that the electrode reaction depends on pH value of the solution and the electrode reaction shifts negative potentials due to the increase in pH. Electrochemical studies indicated that the number of protons which take place in electrode reaction were different in acidic and basic media. An irreversible reduction process with adsorption occured in acidic media. It was concluded that azo dye has a complex reduction mechanism.en_US
