In this study, poly(polyvinyl chloride-g-ethylene glycol) graft copolymers was carried out by ''click'' chemistry of propargyl poly(ethylene glycol) (propargyl PEG) and terminaly azide polyvinyl chloride (PVC-N3). For this purpose, primarily propargyl PEG was synthesized by the reaction of PEGs (3000 Da, 2000 Da, 1500 Da, 1000 Da, 600 Da ve 400 Da) and propargyl chloride. After purification of PVC, PVC-N3 was synthesized by the reaction of PVC and sodium azide. By using PVC-N3 and propargyl PEG, poly(polyvinyl chloride-g-ethylene glycol) graft copolymers were synthesized. The principal parameters such as concentration, and polymerization time that affect the reaction were evaluated. The characterization of the products was achieved using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, gel-permeation chromatography, elemental analysis, and fractional precipitation [solvent (THF-mL)/non-solvent (petroleum ether-mL)] techniques.en_US
