dc.description.abstract65 6.
dc.description.abstract66 7. ÎNGÎLÎZCE ÖZET (SUMMARY) In this research, a total of 183 cattle showing digestive system and respiratory tract symptomes were sampled during the inspection of 4 various herds and of a slaughter house. Of these cattle, stool, buffy coat and serum samples were examined in order to determine the presence of BVDV antigens using direct IF and PLA assays While BVDV-spesif ic antibodies were investigated using NPLA technique in serum specimens. In leucocyte samples of three cattle showing above mentioned clinical features, BVDV antigens were detected by direkt IF and PLA test performed following cultural asolation. On the other hand, 136 (74.3 %) of 183 cattle sera have been proved to be serologically positive in vrious titreş of neutralizing antibodies against BVDV. Meanwhile, during the research, not only three virus isolated but also 17 isolates previously identified as BVDV in Virology Department were applied to plaque and immunoplaque assays, respectively. Whole viruses studied were verified as to be non-cytopathogenic biotype of BVD virus. Keywords: Bovine viral diarrhea virus, cytopathogenic, noncytopathogenic, plaque assay, immunoplaque assay.en_US
