Boyacılarda kontrollere göre tam kan sayımlarında WBC anlamlı derecede yüksek, HGB, MCH, MCHC, PLT değerleri anlamlı derecede düşük; idrarda hippürik asit miktarı yüksek ve SGOTve SGPT değerlerinde fark yoktu. dc.description.abstractSUMMARY Pulmonary Findings On Car Painters In this study, we investigated the pulmonary side effects of car painting on 47 car painters and 52 controls at a industry complex in Ankara We performed a questionnare, physical examination and performed lung function tests (LFT),in the morning and in the evening We divided car painters in to two groups, the one's working in the painting chamber and the one's working in the painting shops. We performed LFT to these groups before and after painting. Toluene concentration in the working environment was found higher in painting shops than in the painting chambers. Asthma prevalence was found as %19.75, and COPD prevalence was found as %34.04 in the car painters Symptoms like cough, sputum production, shortness of breath, headache, inability to sleep, tiredness, were statistically significantly higher in the car painters than in the controls. In our study,in LFT parameters morning FEV%, evening FEV%, PEF, FEFo/,25.75 results were lower in the car painters than control. FVC results were the same. After painting FVC, FEV1 results were found lower than before painting results in the painting chamber. In the painting shops, after painting FVC, FEV1, PEF, FEFy^.^ results were found lower than before painting. In the car painters complete blood counts were done. WBC counts were found statistically higher, and Hb, MCH, MCHC; PLT counts were statistically lower. The amounts of hippurik acid in the urine were found higher than controls. Liver function tests (SGOT, SGPT) were not different from control. Key Words: Asthma, Car Painters, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Spirometry, Toluene Diisocynate 75en_US
