Gülhane Askeri Tıp Akademisi Hastanesi polikliniklerindeki hemşirelik faaliyetlerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

VI. ÖZET Bu çalışmanın amacı, hemşirelik hizmetlerinin geliştirilmesi çalışmalarına katkıda bulunmak için, hastane polikliniklerinde^ hemşirelik faaliyetlerini tespit etmektir. Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel olarak planlanmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Gülhane Askeri Tıp Akademisi Hastanesi polikliniklerinde görev yapan hemşireler oluşturmuştur. Kırk sekiz hemşire yer almıştır. Sözkonusu poliklinikler şunlardır: Allerji, cildiye, çocuk, çocuk psikiyatrisi, endokrin, fizik tedavi, intaniye, kardiyoloji, nefroloji, nöroloji, tıbbi onkoloji, çocuk cerrahisi, göğüs cerrahisi, kalp damar cerrahisi, kulak burun boğaz, meme/hariciye, plastik cerrahi, üroloji. Evrenin tamamı araştırma kapsamına alınmıştır. Kadın doğum, nöroşirurji, göz, psikiyatri, diş ve ortopedi polikliniklerinde önuygulama yapılmıştır. ûnuygulama yapılan poliklinikler, gerçek çalışmaya dahil edilmemiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında Poliklinik Hemşirelik Faaliyetleri Gözlem Formu ve anket formu kullanılmıştır. Hemşirelik faaliyetleri, 4 ocak ve 4 mayıs 1999 tarihleri arasında, her bir poliklinik için beşer günlük zaman periyodu içinde kaydedilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, gözlem yapılan polikliniklerdeki profesyonel olmayan hemşirelik faaliyetlerinin oranı % 59.03 iken, profesyonel faaliyet oranı 40.97%'dir. Gözlem formunda bulunan profesyonel faaliyetlerden üçünün yüksek oranda olduğu saptanmıştır. Bu faaliyetler; `Etkin iletişim becerilerinin kullanılması`, ` Doktor ve hasta arasında koordinasyonun sağlanması`, ` Tanı/tedavi işlemlerine yardım edilmesi`dir. Profesyonel hemşirelik faaliyetleri, şu polikliniklerde en yüksek oranda bulunmuştur: Plastik cerrahi (% 54.4), çocuk (% 51.7), tıbbi onkoloji (% 49.1). Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, poliklinik hemşireliği hakkında öneriler sunulmuştur. 62

SUMMARY SEARCHING THE NURSING ACTIVITIES IN HOSPITAL OUTPATIENT CLINICS The aim of this research was to determine the nursing activities in order to contribute to the nursing services improvement studies in hospital outpatient clinics. It was planned as descriptive and crossectional. The universe of this research was the nurses who were charged within the outpatient clinics. There were forty eight nurses. These outpatient clinics were as follows: Allergy, dermatology, pediatrics, child psychiatry, endocrinology, physical therapy and rehabilitation, infectious diseases, cardiology, nephrology, neurology, medical oncology, pediatric surgery, chest surgery, hearth and vessel surgery, ear.nose, throat, breast/general surgery, plastic surgery, urology. Preresearch was held in obstetrics and gynecoloy, eye, neurosurgery, psychiatry, dental unit, orthopaedics. These clinics were not included in main study. To collect the data The Outpatient Nursing Activities Nursing Observation Form and a questionaire form were used. Nursing activities were recorded within five days period for each outpatient clinics between 4th January and 4th May 1999. According to the results of this research, The ratio of professional activities was 40.97% in the outpatient clinics that were observed while the nonprofessional ones were 59.03%. Three of professional activities which took place in the observation form were observed at the high proportion. These were ` Using relationship skills`, `Coordinating the relationship between doctor and patient`, `Assisting with diagnostic / therapeutic procedures`. The ratios of the professional nursing activities were the highest in these outpatient clinics: Plastic surgery ( 54.4 %), pediatrics ( 51.7 %) and oncology ( 49.1 %). According to the results, suggestions were developed on outpatient nursing. 63
