Benign prostat hiperplazisinde TUR-P'nin semptom skoruna etkisi ile erken ve geç komplikasyonlarının araştırılması

Abstract

ÖZET Bu klinik çalışma Mart 1993 - Haziran 1995 tarihleri arasında GATA Haydarpaşa Eğitim Hastanesi üroloji kliniğinde yapılmıştır. Bu prospektif çalışmaya orta ve ciddi derecede prostatizm semptomlu 47 erkek hasta alınmıştır Bu çalışmada TUR-P'nin semptom skoruna etkisi ile erken ve geç komplikasyonlarını araştırdık. Semptom skorları, ortalama idrar akım hızları ve seksüel fonksiyonları hem ameliyat öncesinde hemde ameliyat sonrası erken dönemde, 6. haftada, 12. haftada ve 6. ayda değerlendirildi ve elde edilen sonuçlar karşılaştırıldı Kliniğimizde uygulanan TUR-P ortalama idrar akım hızı ile obstrliktif ve irritatif semptom skorlarında istatistiksel ve klinik olarak belirgin bir düzelme sağlamıştır. TUR-P sonrası morbidite oranlarımız daha önce bildirilen oranlarla benzerlik göstermektedir. Halen BPHnin cerrahi tedavisinde TUR-P en etkin yöntemlerden birisi olup etkisinin yüksek, morbiditesinin düşük olduğu gösterilmiştir 40

SUMMARY Evaluation of the effects of transurethral resection of the prostate on symptom score, and its immediate and late complications. This clinical trial was executed in the Department of Urology, GAT A Haydarpaşa Training Hospital between March 1993 and June 1995. Forty-seven men with moderate or severe symptoms of prostatism were included in this prospective study. We evaluated the effects of transurethral resection of the prostate on symptom score, and immediate and late complications of this procedure. Symptom scores, mean urinary flow rate and sexual functions were evaluated both preoperatively and postoperatively at 6th week, 12th week and 6th month, and the results were compared. Transurethral prostatectomy has provided a statistically and clinically significant improvement both in the mean urinary flow rate, and obstructive and irritative symptom scores. Our morbidity rates after TUR-P were quite similar to those in the previous reports. We observed significant improvement in symptoms and a low morbidity rate with TUR-P. 41
