dc.description.abstractÖZET Bu çalışmada 3.6.1994 ve 1.5.1996 tarihleri arasında GATA Haydarpaşa Eğitim Hastanesi Enfeksiyon Hastalıkları ve Klinik Mikrobiyoloji Servisi ile Mikrobiyoloji ve Klinik Mikrobiyoloji Servisi Laboratuvarlannda çeşitli örneklerden izole edilen 67 Klebsiella pneumoniae susunun seftriakson, sefotaksim, seftazidim, sefoksitin ve aztreonama dirençlilik oranlan disk difuzyon, broth dilusyon ve E-test ile, aynı suşlarda extended spectrum beta- lactamase (Genişlemiş spektrumlu beta-laktamaz-ESBL) sıklığı çift disk sinerji testi ve üç boyutlu test ile araştırılmıştır. 67 K. pneumoniae susunda disk difîizyonda en yüksek direnç % 28.4 ile sefoksitine, broth dilüsyonda en yüksek direnç % 41.8 ile seftriaksona, E-test çalışılan 30 susta en yüksek direnç % 50 ile seftriaksona karşı bulunmuştur. Çalışılan 67 K. pneumoniae susunda ESBL sıklığı çift disk sinerji testi ve üç boyutlu test ile toplam olarak % 14.9 bulunmuştur. 50
dc.description.abstractSUMMARY Detection of Beta-lactam Resistance and the Frequency of Extended- Spectrum Beta-Lactamases in Klebsiella pneumoniae Strains In this study, the resistance to ceftriaxone, ceftazidime, cefoxitin and aztreonam in 67 Klebsiella pneumoniae strains isolated from different clinical specimens in Giilhane Military Medical Academy Haydarpaşa Teaching Hospital Infectious Diseases & Clinical Microbiology Department and Microbiology & Clinical Microbiology Department Laboratories between 3.6.1994 and 1.5.1996 were investigated by disk diffusion, microdilution and E-test methods. Also, extended spectrum beta lactamase (ESBL) investigated by double disk synergy test and three-dimensional test on the same strains. In 67 Klebsiella pneumoniae strains the highest resistance was 28.4 % to cefoxitin by disk diffusion method and 41.8 % to ceftriaxone by microdilution method. Thirty strains investigated by E-test showed the highest resistance to ceftriaxone by 50 %. ESBL was found in 14.9 % of K. pneumoniae strains by both double-disk synergy test and three-dimensional test. 51en_US
