Medyanın polise yaklaşımı: POL-DER ve POL-BİR örnekleri üzerinden göstergebilimsel bir okuma

Abstract

Türkiye'de 1970-1980 arası döneme damgasını vuran şiddet olaylarında toplumdaki ideolojik bölünmenin bir parçası haline gelen polis teşkilatı, Pol-Der ve Pol-Bir adlarıyla bünyesinde iki büyük dernek çıkarmıştı. İdeolojik olarak sola yakın olan Pol-Der de, ona adeta rakip olarak kurulan Pol-Bir de önemli tartışmaların parçası olmuşlardır. Bu iki büyük polis derneğinin kısa ömürlerinin medyaya yansıma biçimi, dönemin atmosferini anlayabilmek açısından değerli bir çalışma alanı oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışma, dönemin en önemli dört ulusal gazetesi olan Cumhuriyet, Tercüman, Milliyet ve Hürriyet üzerinden Pol-Der ve Pol-Bir'le ilgili göstergebilimsel bir okuma yapmayı ve medya perspektifiyle dönemi daha yakından anlamayı amaçlamaktadır.

The police has produced two large police associations during the troubled era of 1970-1980 in which many ideological divisions and waves of violence occured. Both Pol-Der, which was ideologically inclined to the leftist policies, and Pol-Bir, which was ideologically closed to the nationalist sphere have become the parts of the political disputes. Then, their perception by the media has a valuable assessment to understand the real environment of that time period. In this regard, this thesis aims to provide a comprehensive semiological reading of these two police associations through the four big national newspapers of the time: Cumhuriyet, Tercüman, Milliyet and Hürriyet. It's been hoped to shed light of the time concerned through a mediatic lense.
