dc.description.abstractAmaç: Çalışmamız primer vajinal karsinomun epidemiyolojik özelliklerini, tanı ve tedavi protokollerini belirlemeyi ve servikal ve vulvar karsinomlarla kesişen primer vajinal karsinomanın klinik ve patolojik özelliklerini karşılaştırmayı amaçlamaktadır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Ocak 1983 ile Aralık 2012 tarihleri arasında İzmir Tepecik Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Jinekolojik Onkoloji Bilim Dalı'na başvuran primer vajinal karsinomlu on altı hasta retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi FIGO ((International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics)) cerrahi evreleme sistemi kullanıldı. İstatistiksel analizler için SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) programı kullanıldı.Bulgular: Primer vajinal karsinomlu 16 hastanın histolojik dağılımı şöyleydi: Yassı hücreli karsinom (SCC) 9 hasta (% 56.3), rabdomiyosarkom 5 (% 31.3) ve adenokarsinoma 2 hasta(% 12.5)'da izlendi.Sonuç: Hastalığın evresi sağ kalımı etkileyen ana faktör olarak bulundu
dc.description.abstractObjectives:Our study aimed to determine the epidemiological characteristics and diagnostic and treatment protocols of primary vaginal carcinoma. Also, we compared the clinical and pathological features of primary vaginal carcinoma which intersect with cervical and vulvar carcinomas.Material and methods:Sixteen patients with primary vaginal carcinoma, admitted to the Department of Gynecologic Oncology, Izmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital between January 1983 and December 2012, were evaluated retrospectively. FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) Surgical staging was performed. The SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) program was used for statistical analyses.Results:The histological distribution of the 16 patients with primary vaginal carcinoma was as follows: 9 patients (56.3%) with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), 5 (31.3%) with rhabdomyosarcoma, and 2 (12.5%) with adenocarcinomaen_US
