Beyin cerrahisi servisinde elektif vertebra cerrahisi geçirecek 40 hastadan, 20 hastaya midazolam+alfentanil, diğer 20 hastaya propofol+alfentanil ile Total İntravenöz Anestezi (TİVA) uygulandı. TİVA'nın hastalarda operasyon öncesi, indüksiyon, infüzyon sırasında ve derlenme süresince Kalp Atım Hızı (KAH), Sistolik Arter Basıncı (SAB), Diastolik Arter Basıncı (DAB) Ortalama Arter Basıncı (OAB), Oksijen Satürasyonu (O2SAT), End Tidal Karbondioksit (ETCO2), Solunum Frekansı (SF)'na etkileri ve yan etkiler değerlendirildi.Operasyon öncesi ölçülen tüm paremetre değerleri her iki grupta birbirine yakın olarak bulundu.İndüksiyonda Propofol (P) grubunda daha belirgin olmak üzere hipotansiyon izlendi.İnfüzyon süresince P grubunda SAB, DAB, OAB değerleri Midazolam (M) grubundan daha düşük olarak seyretti. Diğer parametreler her iki grupta pareleldi.
Forty patients undergoing spine surgery in the Department of Neurosurgery were allocated in to two groups. Twenty of the patients received total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA) using midazolam and alfentanil (Group M), while the second twenty received TIVA with propofol and alfentanil (Group P). The effects of TIVA on heart rate, systolic, diastolic and mean arterial pressures (SAP, DAP, MAP), peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO2) and respiratory rate during induction and maintenance of anesthesia and during recovery were evaluated. The side effects were also recorded. The two groups were comparable in terms of all parameter values before the operation. Hypotension was observed in both groups and the change was more pronounced in the P group.During the infusion period SAP, DAP, MAP values were lower in the P group compared to the M group. There were no differences in the parameters among the two groups.During the recovery period patients in the M group were more sedated and experienced more respiratory depression. The results of the study demonstrated that even though the patients in the M group were more stable during induction and maintenance of anesthesia; patients in the P group had a faster recovery and they experienced fewer side effects.en_US
