Türkiye'de Ulusal Gazetelerin haber yapım sürecinde bir sorunsal olarak editoryal bağımsızlık olgusu `Alan araştırması İstanbul ili örneği`

Abstract

Teknoloji eksenli ilerlemeler bağlamında dönüşen küresel dünyada gazetecilik sektörü gerek kurumsal anlamda gerekse biçimsel düzeyde değişim göstermiştir. Söz konusu değişimlerin zemin hazırladığı medya sahipliği çerçevesinde ticari bir meta konumuna gelen basın sektöründe bağımsızlık hususu ise ayrı bir tartışma olarak öne çıkmıştır. Bilhassa haber yapım süreçlerinde öne çıkan ve ticari kaygıları doğru habercilik anlayışının önüne geçiren bu husus, gazetecilik alanında editoryal yapıların sekteye uğramasına yol açmıştır. Mevcut tez çalışmasının merkezini bu doğrultuda editoryal bağımsızlık sorunsalı teşkil etmiştir. Dolayısıyla çalışmada kavramsal ve kuramsal çerçeveyi tesis etmek açısından literatür altyapısı oluşturulmuştur ve editoryal bağımsızlık olgusu ile ilişkilendirilebilecek etmenler irdelenmiştir. Tez çalışmasının son bölümünde paylaşılan nitel analiz sürecinde ise; örneklem olarak belirlenen ulusal düzeydeki gazete çalışanlarının katılımıyla mülakat çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular fenomenoloji yöntemiyle değerlendirilerek, gazeteci tespitleri bağlamında tartışılmaya çalışılmıştır. Netice olarak tez çalışması kapsamında, gazetecilik mecrasındaki editoryal bağımsızlık problemine yol açan ana etmenlerin nitel bulgular ölçeğinde ortaya konulması hedeflenmiştir.

The journalism sector has changed both institutionally and formally in the transforming global world in the context of technology-based advances, The issue of independence in the press sector, which has become commercial merchandise within the framework of the media ownership that the changes formed a basis, has come to the fore as a separate discussion. This issue, which especially stands out in the news-making processes and puts commercial concerns in front of the correct journalistic approach, has caused the editorial structures to be disrupted in the field of journalism. In this direction, the editorial independence problem constituted the center of this dissertation. Therefore, to establish the conceptual and theoretical framework within the study, the literature background was constituted, and factors, which can be associated with the fact of editorial independence, were examined. In the qualitative analysis process shared in the last part of the dissertation, an interview study was conducted with the participation of national-level newspaper employees who were determined as the sample. The obtained findings were evaluated by phenomenology method and tried to be discussed in the context of journalist' determinations. In conclusion, within the scope of the current dissertation, it is aimed to reveal the main factors leading to the problem of editorial independence in the journalism field in qualitative findings scale.
