Tomarza ilçe merkezi'nin coğrafyası

Abstract

Tomarza ilçe merkezi, İç Anadolu Bölgesi'nin Orta Kızılırmak Bölümü sınırları içerisinde yer almaktadır. İdari açıdan Kayseri'ye bağlı olup il merkezine 56 km uzaklıktadır. Saha Kayseri'nin güneyinde düz bir arazi üzerine kurulmuştur. Batısında Develi ilçesi, doğusunda Sarız ve Pınarbaşı ilçeleri, kuzeyinde Talas ve Bünyan ilçeleri, güneyinde ise Adana ilinin Tufanbeyli ilçesi bulunmaktadır.Çalışma sahası, Tomarza Ovası üzerinde yer almakta olup çeşitli yükseltilere sahip dağlarla çevrilidir. Sürekli akışa sahip herhangi bir akarsu bulunmamaktadır. Akdeniz ikliminin yarı kurak stepik tipi diye adlandırılan iklim tipinin görüldüğü sahada yıllık ortalama sıcaklık 8,2 °C olurken, yıllık ortalama yağış miktarı ise 413 mm' dır. Hâkim bitki örtüsü otsu türlerden meydana gelen steplerdir. Görülen en yaygın toprak tipi kolüvyal topraklardır.Adrese Dayalı Nüfus Kayıt Sistemine (ADNKS) göre 2019 yılı toplam nüfus 8856 olarak belirlenmiştir. Sanayi faaliyetleri gelişme göstermemiştir. Ticaret yerli üretime dayanmaktadır. Kuru tarım uygulamasının yapıldığı sahada yaygın olarak kabak çekirdeği üretimi yapılmaktadır. Saha gelişmekte olup, nüfus ve fonksiyonları açısından kasabası özelliği göstermektedir.

Tomarza district center, which constitutes the research area, is located within the boundaries of the Central Kızılırmak Section of the Central Anatolia Region. It is administratively connected to Kayseri and 56 km. from the city center. The field is established on a flat land in the South of Kayseri. There is Develi district in the west, Sarız and Pınarbaşı districts in the east, Talas and Bünyan districts in the north, and Tufanbeyli district of Adana province in the south.The study area is located on the Tomarza Plain and is surrounded by mountains of various heights. There is no streams with a continuous flow here. While the average annual temperature is 8.2 °C in the area where the climate type called semi-arid steppe type of the Mediterranean climate is seen, the annual average rainfall is 413 mm. The dominant vegetation is steppes consisting of herbaceous species. The most common soil type seen is colluvial soils.According to the Address Based Population Registration System (ADNKS), the total population of the study area in 2019 was determined as 8856. Industrial activities have not improved. Trade is based on domestic production. Pumpkin seeds are widely produced in dry farming areas. The field is developing and shows the characteristics of a town in terms of population and functions.
