Abstract

İkinci Dünya Savaşı'nın hemen sonrasındaki düzen, ABD'nin gücünü hem kısıtlayıp hem de güçlendirirken, birçok ülkeye önemli faydalar sağlayan, oldukça kurumsallaşmış çok taraflı bir sistemin temellerini atmıştır. ABD hegemonyasının tarihsel bir okuması, son zamanlardaki tek taraflılığının, gücünün ve etkisinin temellerini baltaladığını göstermiştir.Farklı açılardan bakıldığında, hegemonya kavramının parçalanmış ve sahip olunan felsefi ve teorik bakış açılarıyla sınırlı olduğu görülmektedir. Dolayısıyla, bu araştırma, farklı teorilerde yer alan hegemonya kavramın kavramsallaştırmalarını ve anlayışlarını kapsamlı bir şekilde ele almaya çalışmıştır. Buna ek olarak, farklı teorilerin bakış açıları aracılığıyla ABD hegemonyasının açıklamalarını göstermek için ikincil kaynaklardan toplanan ampirik verileri içermektedir. Dahası bu araştırma, ABD hegemonyasının uluslararası hukuk nezdinde teorik ve politik sonuçlarını incelemektedir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Hegemonya, ABD hegemonyası, Uluslararası Hukuk

The order in the immediate aftermath of World War II laid the foundations for a highly institutionalized multilateral system that provided significant benefits to many countries, while both limiting and strengthening US power. A historical reading of US hegemony has shown that its recent unilateralism has undermined the foundations of its power and influence. When viewed from different perspectives, it is seen that the concept of hegemony is fragmented and limited to philosophical and theoretical perspectives. Therefore, this research has tried to comprehensively address the conceptualizations and understandings of the concept of hegemony in different theories. In addition, it includes empirical data collected from secondary sources to illustrate explanations of US hegemony through the perspectives of different theories. Moreover, this research examines the theoretical and political consequences of US hegemony in terms of international law.Keywords: Hegemony, United States Hegemony, International Law
