Boşanmış erkeklerin boşanma deneyimlerine yönelik bir karma desen çalışması

Abstract

Sürekli artış gösteren ve toplumsal bir sorun haline gelen boşanma, bireyler açısından da çeşitli problemlere neden olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, boşanmış erkeklerin erkeklik bağlamında yaşadığı boşanma deneyimlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, karma yöntemin yakınsayan paralel desenine göre tasarlanmıştır. Çalışmanın nicel aşaması için sosyo-demografik sorularla beraber; FISHER Boşanma/Ayrılığa Uyum ölçeği-Kısa Formu, Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği ve Boşanma Nedenlerine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Nitel aşamada ise araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan nicel veri toplama araçları ile paralellik gösteren yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel aşaması için 400, nitel aşaması için 18 boşanmış erkekten veri toplanmıştır. Elde edilen nicel ve nitel veriler ayrı ayrı analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın nicel bulgularında katılımcıların demografik bilgileri ile ölçeklerin ilişkili faktörleri sunulmuştur. Nitel kısımda ise boşanmış erkeklerin boşanma deneyimleri, boşanma öncesi evlilik durumları ve boşanma sonrası uyumlarına dair veriler sunulmuştur. Son kısımda ise nicel ve nitel veriler birleştirilerek; boşanmış erkeklerin evlilik deneyimleri, erkek olarak boşanmanın deneyimlenmesi ve erkeklerin boşanma sonrası uyumları başlıkları altında tartışılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre boşanma olgusu muhatap olduğu tüm kesimleri etkilemektedir. Bu anlamda erkeklerin boşanma durumunda olumsuz deneyimler yaşadığı, boşanma sürecinde ve sonrasında pek çok sorun yaşadıkları anlaşılmıştır.

Constantly increasing and being a social problem, divorce also causes individuals various problems. This study aims to examine the divorcing experiences of divorced men in the context of masculinity. The study was designed according to the convergent parallel pattern of the mixed method. Along with the socio-demographic questions for the quantitative phase of the study, FISHER Divorce/Separation Adjustment Scale-Short Form, Life Satisfaction Scale and Attitude towards Reasons for Divorce Scale were used. In the qualitative stage, a semi-structured interview form was used, which is in line with the quantitative data collection tools prepared by the researcher. Data were collected from 400 divorced men for the quantitative phase and 18 divorced men for the qualitative phase of the study. The obtained quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed separately. In the quantitative findings of the study, the demographic information of the participants and the related factors of the scales were presented. The qualitative part presents data on divorce experiences, pre-divorce marriage status, and post-divorce adjustment of divorced men. In the last part, quantitative and qualitative data are combined, and the marriage experiences of divorced men, the experience of divorce as men, and post-divorce adjustment of men are discussed. According to the research results, the phenomenon of divorce affects all segments that it comes into contact with. In this sense, it has been understood that men have negative experiences in the case of divorce and that they have many problems during and after the divorce.
