Sürdürülebilir modaya küresel bir yaklaşım

Abstract

Üretim ve tüketim, insan neslinin devamlılığını sürdürebilmesi için dünya tarihinin her döneminde önemli bir rol oynamıştır. Sanayi Devrimi'nden sonra ortaya çıkan sürekli tüketimden beslenen insanlar ihtiyaçlarından çok kendi isteklerini tatmin etmek için tüketim yapmaya başlamışlardır. Bu sebeple, tüketim kendi ihtiyaçlarını karşılamaktan çok psikolojik tatmin olarak değişime uğramıştır. Üretim ve tüketim çok hızlı bir şekilde gelişme gösterip büyümektedir. Büyümekle beraber ortaya çıkan bu artış dünyanın geleceğini tehdit etmektedir. Var olan kaynakların tüketimini arttırarak tükenme hızının da artışına yol açmıştır. Bu sorunlar dünyada yaşayan bütün canlıların hayatına olumsuz etkisini göstermekte, gelecekte yaşanabilir dünya için çeşitli önlemlerin alınmasını bize göstermektedir.Sürdürülebilirlik, üretkenlik ve çeşitliliğin devamı sağlanırken, daimi olabilme yeteneğini korumak olarak tanımlanır. Temel amacı, yaşam sürelerini uzatarak ürünlerin kaynaklarından azami ölçüde kullanmaktır. Tekstil ve hazır giyim sektöründe hızlı tüketimin sebep olduğu sorunlara çözüm olarak; yaşadığımız çevreye zarar veren giysilerin üretimine, bu sektörde çalışan insanların haksızlıklara uğramasına, su ve enerji israfına, gereksiz yere yapılan alışverişe karşı bir adım olarak `sürdürülebilir moda` kavramı doğmuştur. Sürdürülebilir modayı inceleyen tez çalışması, sürdürülebilir modanın beraberinde geliştirdiği Ekolojik Moda, Hızlı Moda, Yavaş Moda, Geri Dönüşüm kavramlarını, Türkiye'nin ve diğer ülkelerin sürdürülebilir modaya karşı tutumunu ve sürdürülebilir bir yaşam için eğitim ve çözüm önerilerini konu edinmektedir.

Production and consumption have played an important role for the continuation of the human nature in every period of the world history. People who are fed by constant consumption which emerged after the Industrial Revolution, have started to consume for satisfy their own desires rather than their needs. As a result of this, consumption which means meeting their own needs has changed as a psychological satisfaction. Production and consumption grow rapidly. This growth has started to become a threat for the future of the world. This situation has increased the consumption of existing resources and it caused an increase in the consumption rate. These problems affect all people's lives in a negative way, and they show that measures must be taken for the future of the world.Sustainability is identified as protecting to be persistent while maintaining productivity and diversity. Its main purpose is providing to the minimize using source materials, while the extending the life span. The term of sustainable fashion has emerged as a solution for the problems which are the results of fast consumption in the textile and garment industry; and against the production of clothes which damage the ecological life, injustices which suffered by people who are in the production process, wastage of water and energy, unnecessary shopping. The thesis that analyzes the sustainable fashion discusses the Ecological Fashion, Fast Fashion, Slow Fashion, Recycling which are improved with sustainable fashion, Turkey's and other countries' attitudes towards sustainable fashion and suggestions about education and solution for a sustainable life.
