Gösterişçi tüketimin sanatsal ifadesi

Abstract

`Gösterişçi tüketimin sanatsal ifadesi` isimli bu tez çalışmasında, 'tüketim ve gösteriş' kavramları incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda 1. bölümde tüketim kavramının ortaya çıkması ve ihtiyaç kavramının inanış sistemleri ile ilişkisi ele alınmıştır. 21. yüzyılda gelişen teknoloji ile beraber seri üretimin ortaya çıkması tüketim kavramının tanımını da değiştirerek tüketim mekanlarını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Kitlesel tüketime eklemlenen insan, çağımız insanının bireyselleşmesi ile beraber aidiyet ve kimlik problemleri yaşamaktadır. Birbirlerinin kopyası haline dönüşmekte olan, tüketim alışkanlıkları da birbirine oldukça benzeyen insan değişime uğrayarak kendine yabancılaşmıştır. Araştırmanın ikinci bölümünde güncel sanat pratiklerinde tüketim ve gösterişçi tüketim üzerine çalışmaları olan sanatçıların eserlerine yer verilmiştir. Günümüz sanatçıları modern sanatın yenilikçi ve sanat kaygısı ile yapılmasının aksine, toplumun yaşayış biçimine eleştirel bir şekilde yaklaşmaktadır. Kapitalist ve metalarla kuşatılan dünyada gösterişçi tüketimin sanatı da bir metaya çevirmesiyle yaşanan değişim incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda ise 3. bölüm kişisel uygulamalarla ifade edilen tüketim ve gösterişçi tüketimin seramik uygulamalarla ele alınarak anlatılmasıdır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Tüketim, Gösterişçi Tüketim, Dijitalleşme, Kapitalizm, Seramik.

In this thesis titled `Artistic expression of conspicuous consumption`, the concepts of `consumption and showing off` are examined. In this context, the emergence of the concept of consumption and the relationship between the concept of need and belief systems are discussed in the first chapter. The emergence of mass production with the developing technology in the 21st century has changed the definition of the concept of consumption and revealed the places of consumption. The person who is added to mass consumption experiences problems of belonging and identity together with the individualization of modern people. People, who are becoming copies of each other and whose consumption habits are quite similar to each other, have changed and become alienated from themselves. In the second part of the research, the works of artists who have studies on consumption and conspicuous consumption in contemporary art practices are included. Contrary to modern art being done with an innovative and artistic concern, today's artists are critically approaching the way of life of the society. In the capitalist world surrounded by commodities, the change experienced as conspicuous consumption turns art into a commodity has been examined. In this context, the 3rd chapter is the consumption expressed by personal practices and the conspicuous consumption by dealing with ceramic applications.Keywords: Consumption, Conspicuous Consumption, Digitalization, Capitalism, Ceramics.
