Işık ve rengin etkisinde sanatsal bir hareket: ZERO

Abstract

Bu çalışma, II. Dünya Savaşı'nın ardından 1950'li yılların sonlarında, Almanya'da Heinz Mack ve Otto Piene ile başlayan, daha sonra Günther Uecker'in aralarına katılımıyla çekirdek kadro olarak nitelenen üçlünün kurduğu ve döneminin avangart sanatına damgasını vuran ZERO Hareketi'ni incelemeyi hedefler. Geçmişi sıfırlayıp, herşeye yeniden başlamak ve sanatı eski kalıplarından arındırıp, özgürleştirmek amacıyla yola çıkan bu üçlüyle aynı düşünce ve ruhu paylaşan, birbirlerine karşı savaşmış ülkelerin sanatçılarının da harekete dahil olmasıyla, uluslararası bir ağ oluşur. Işık, hareket ve renk odaklı eserleriyle; sergiler, canlı performanslar, etkinlikler ve yayınlarla geçen on yılda, ZERO ağı Avrupa'dan sonra Amerika'da da tanınır.Birinci bölümde ZERO Hareketi'nin doğuşu, kronolojik gelişimi ve etkinlikleri ele alınmış olup harekete destek veren sanatçılar karakteristik özellikleri bağlamında ve tarihsel süreçte yeri geldikçe yine bu bölüm içinde incelenmiştir.İkinci bölümde hareketin çekirdek kadrosunu oluşturan sanatçılar Heinz Mack, Otto Piene ve Günther Uecker'in biyografileriyle, sanatsal faaliyet ve sanat dilleri detaylı olarak yer almaktadır.Ürettikleri yapıtlar ve sanata getirdikleri yeni bakış açılarıyla dönemlerinin ötesine geçen ve günümüzde ortaya çıkmış pek çok sanat akımı ve hareketine de ilham veren ZERO Hareketi'nin modernizm sürecindeki yeri ve günümüze olan yansımaları ise üçüncü ve son bölümde yer almaktadır.Anahtar kelimeler: Zero, ışık, hareket, titreşim

This study investigates ZERO Movement, which started in Germany in the late 1950s after World War II and influenced the avant-garde art of its era significantly. The movement started with Heinz Mack and Otto Piene and later with Günther Uecker's participation the hard core of the movement was formed. An international network was formed by various artists even from nations who fought each other but shared the same thoughts and vision of this trio, resetting the past, restarting everything by cleansing the old patterns of art and liberating them. Within a decade of exhibitions, live performances, events and publications focused on light, color and movement, ZERO movement was highly recognised also in America after Europe.The first part of this study focuses on the birth, chronological history, events of ZERO Movement and the artists who support the movement are also considered carefully whenever it is necessary with there characteristic features in historical respect.The second part deals with the hard core of ZERO Movement. In this section, Heinz Mack, Otto Piene and Günther Uecker's biographies, their sense of art and artistic activities are discussed in detail.The third and the last part of this study focuses on the influence of ZERO Movement in the modernism period, with its creations and perspective, which have gone beyond their era and inspired a lot of art movements which come to being even today.Keywords: Zero, light, motion, vibration
