Üstün yetenekli öğrencilerin çevreye yönelik bilgi ve tutumlarının incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilköğretim düzeyindeki üstün yetenekli öğrencilerin sahip oldukları çevre bilgilerinin ve çevreye yönelik tutumlarının cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi ve ailelerin sosyoekonomik düzeyleri değişkenlerine göre incelemek, çevre bilgileri ile çevreye yönelik tutumları arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığını durumunu belirlemek ve çevre problemlerine ilişkin çözüm yolları üretebilme düzeylerini belirlemektir.Çalışma, 2010 yılında öğrenim gören Bursa, Elazığ, Kırşehir, Malatya, Ordu, Van illerindeki Bilim ve Sanat Merkezlerinde ilköğretim düzeyinde öğrenim gören toplam 106 öğrenciyle yapılmıştır. Çalışmada verileri toplamak amacıyla Çevre Bilgi Testi ve Çevre Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır.Çalışma Sonucunda:Öğrencilerin çevre bilgilerinde, cinsiyet değişkenine göre anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmemiştir. Öğrencilerin çevreye yönelik tutumlarında, cinsiyet açısından anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmemiştir. Öğrencilerin çevre bilgilerinde, sınıf düzeylerine göre anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmiştir. Bu fark özellikle 5 ve 8. sınıflar arasında 8. sınıflar lehinedir. Öğrencilerin çevreye yönelik tutumlarında, sınıf düzeylerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır. Öğrencilerin çevre bilgilerinde, ailelerin sosyoekonomik düzeylerine göre anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmemiştir. Öğrencilerin çevreye yönelik tutumlarında, ailelerin sosyoekonomik düzeylerine göre anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmemiştir. Öğrencilerin çevre bilgilerinin düzeylerinin doğru yanıt verme oranına göre %69,3 olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin çevreye yönelik tutumlarının düzeylerinin olumlu bir düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. The aim of the study is to assess environmental knowledge of gifted students at primary level and their attitudes towards environment in relation to their gender, socioeconomic status of their parents and school level to determine whether there is a relation between their environmental knowledge and their attitudes towards environment or not and to determine their level to be able to generate solutions towards environmental problems.This study was made with totally 106 students who were educated in Science and Art Centers at primary level in Bursa, Elazığ, Kırşehir, Malatya, Ordu and Van. So asto collect data environmental knowledge test and environmental atitude scale were used in the study.As a result of the study:It was determined that, there is not significant difference in their environmental knowledge in relation to gender variable. It was determined that, there is not a significant difference in their attitudes towards environment in relation to gender variable. It was determined that, there is a significant difference in their environmental knowledge in relation to their school level. This difference is particularly between 5th and 8th grades in favour of 8th grades. It was determined that, there is not significant difference in their attitudes towards environment in relation to their school level. It was determined that, there is not significant difference in their environmental knowledge in relation to socioeconomic status of their parents. It was determined that, there is not a significant difference in their attitudes towards environment in relation to socioeconomic status of their parents. It was determined that, environmental knowledge level is %69,3 value. It was determined that, their attitudes towards environment is positive level.
