dc.description.abstractABSTRACT The subject of this theses is Gazali's view of science and Method in terms of Edication. This study is composed of five chapters. In the first chapter, his life, works, the period he lived, the influences of his influences of his thought in the East and in the West, and the appreciation of the criticism made on Gazali, were given. In the second chapter, his view of science, aim of science, the foundation of science, the division of sciences, the necessity of learning science, getting proficiency in sciency and relationship between science and politics were explained. In the third chapter, his view of method, the importance of method in science and education, the method of thought, education, criticsm and discussion were explained. Metod of thought was examined under the headline of scepticism, experimentalism, realism and intuitionism. Mthod of education was also explained under the headline of education methods for the children and the young and methods in public education. In the fourth chapter, definitions on educations, his opinion of education and objectives of education were explained. The kinds of education were explained under the headline of child education, public education, the systems of values and education of trainers. In the fifth chapter, his viex of science and method in terms of nowadays was explained.en_US
