Cevdet Said`e göre Kur`an`da bireysel ve toplumsal değişim

Abstract

ÖZET Değişim, bireyin ve toplum hayatında var olan bir olgudur. Birey ve toplumun değişimi karşılıklı olup, birinin değişimi ötekini doğal olarak etkilemektedir. Bundan dolayı değişim, Sosyoloji ve Sosyal Psikolojinin önemli konulan arasında yer almaktadır. Bireyin ve toplumun hayatında son derece önemli bir yer tutan bu kavramın Kur'an'da tağyir kavramıyla ifade olunduğunu, günümüz düşünce adamlarından Cevdet Said tarafından eserlerinde işlenerek bir kuram halinde sunulmuştur. Ona göre, Kur'an'da bireyin ve toplumun değişimi bir takım yasalara bağlıdır ve bu yasalar uzman ilim adamlarınca keşfedilip uygulandığı takdirde bireyin ve toplumun hayatı değişecektir. Bu uygulamanın tabii sonucu olarak, İslam aleminde değişimler olacaktır. Cevdet Said bu düşüncesini, Kur' an' in Ra'd suresi 11. ayeti ile temellendirmekte ve bu ayeti toplumsal değişim yasası olarak nitelemektedir. Yazar, ayrıca kuramını sünnetullah, afak-enfüs ve teshir vb. Kur'ani kavramlarıyla açmaya ve desteklemeye çalışmaktadır. Yazar, kuramını oluşturma noktasında tağyir kavramına sağladığı yeni açılımlar sayesinde başarılı olmakla birlikte, tezinin merkezinde yer alan yasa düşüncesi, organizmacılık fikri ve bu bağlamda ayetlerin yorumunda izlediği bilimsel yaklaşım sebebiyle kuramını tartışılır hale getirmiştir. Halbuki yeni bir çözüm vadeden bir kuramın; teori ve pratiğe uygunluk noktasında bir takım zaaflar barındırması kuramın sıhhati açısında önemli bir eksiklik olarak görünmektedir. 69

ABSTRACT Change is a natural phenomenon in the individual and social life, and such a change as an interactive process has a mutual impact on both the individual and the society. Therefore, it is among the important subjects of sociology and social psychology. That such a significant notion of change in both individual and social context is adressed by the Qur'anic concept of taghyir finds its detailed expression as a theory in the writings of one of the leading contemporary Muslim intellectuals, Cevdet Said. For him, the individual and social change, according to the Qur'an, take place in accordance with certain laws that are discoverable by social scientists and when these laws are applied the individual and social change will be inevitable. Such an application, to be sure, will have a considerable impact on Muslim societies. Said bases his view on the 11. Verse of Sura XIII (Ra'd ) which he takes to be a law of social change. He also supports his view by some other Qur'anic concepts such as sunnatullah, afak-anfus and tashir. Although he successfully elaborates the concept of taghyir, by giving a central place to the concepts of law and organism and also by following a scientific approach he seems to have made his theory somehow controversial. Therefore, it seems that such a theory needs to overcome its defects if it is to be considered as a comprehensive theory for the individual and social change. 70
