Müzikal Algı Testi`nin türkçe adaptasyonu, geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması

Abstract

Müzikal Algı Testi'nin Türkçe Adaptasyon, Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik ÇalışmasıGünümüzdeki işitme cihazı teknolojileri işitme kayıplı hastaların konuşma seslerini işitme ve anlama becerileri üzerinde oldukça iyi performans gösterirken, müzikal algı becerilerinde istenilen düzeye ulaşılamamıştır. Müzikal algı, işitme kayıplı hastaların yaşadığı problemlerin içerisinde hala önemli bir yere sahiptir. Fakat ülkemizde hem normal işiten hem de işitme kayıplı (işitme cihazı ve koklear implant kullanıcısı) bireylerin müzikal algı becerilerini değerlendiren geçerli ve güvenilir bir müzikal algı testi bulunmamaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı uluslararası bilimsel araştırmalarda yaygın olarak kullanılan 'Musical Perception Test (MPT)'in Türkçe çeviri ve adaptasyonunun yapılarak geçerlik ve güvenirliğinin belirlenmesi ve ülkemize müzikal algı becerilerini objektif olarak değerlendiren bir testin kazandırılmasıdır.Çalışmaya 18-40 yaş arası normal işitmeye sahip ve profesyonel müzik eğitimi olmayan 100 birey dâhil edilmiştir. Ritim, Ses Perdesi, Enstrüman Sesi ve Melodi olmak üzere 4 alan ve 11 alt test basamağından oluşan Müzikal Algı Testi (MAT)'nin Türkçe'ye çeviri ve adaptasyonu tamamlandıktan sonra, profesyonel stüdyo ortamında ses kayıtları tamamlanarak gönüllü bireylere uygulanmıştır. Katılımcıların sosyodemografik özellikleri ve müzik ilgi ve deneyimleri ile ilgili bilgiler 'Katılımcı Genel Bilgi Formu' ile sağlanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler istatistiki olarak değerlendirilmiş, testin geçerlik ve güvenirlik bulguları analiz edilmiştir.Çalışma sonucunda, katılımcıların MAT toplam puan ortalamaları 97,5±12,2 (Min: 69, Maks: 120), testin İç Tutarlılık Değeri 0,898, test-re-test korelasyonu ise 0,997 olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu sonuç, MAT'ın oldukça güvenilir bir test olduğunu göstermektedir. Çalışmada katılımcıların en yüksek puan aldıkları alan Ritim Tanıma (9,2±1,2) iken, en düşük puan Enstrüman Sayısını Tanıma (4,2±1,3)'dan alınmıştır. Ayrıca, MAT toplam puanı ile katılımcının yaşı arasında bir ilişki bulunmamasına rağmen, cinsiyet ve öğrenim durumu MAT toplam puanında istatistiki olarak anlamlı bir belirleyici olarak göze çarpmaktadır. Bununla beraber, müziğe ilgi durumu, müzik dinleme sıklığı ve müzik türü ile müzikal algı toplam puanı arasında istatistiki olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Yaşamımızda vazgeçilmez unsurlardan biri olan müzik, işitme kayıplı bireyler için de oldukça önemlidir. Müzikal Algı Test (MAT) ülkemizde müziğin tüm alanlarını objektif olarak değerlendirebilen, geçerli ve güvenilir bir test olarak hem normal işiten bireylerde hem de işitme kayıplı hastalarda ilk ve tek test olma özelliğine sahiptir. Bireylerin müzikal algı becerilerinin objektif olarak değerlendirilmesi, normal bireyler için mevcut müzik performansının belirlenmesinde, işitme kayıplı bireylerde ise tanı, re/habilitasyon ve amplifikasyon sistemlerinin geliştirilmesinde önemli bir fayda sağlayacaktır.

A Study on the Turkish Adaptation, Validity and Reliability of Musical Perception TestThe hearing aid technologies at present day perform well on the skills of patients with hearing loss to hearing and understanding of speech sounds, but not on the skills of musical perception as much as expected. Musical perception is still one of the most important problem suffered by patients with hearing loss. However, there is no valid and reliable musical perception test in our country to assess the skills of musical perception of both patients with normal hearing and those with hearing loss. The purpose of this study is to translate and adapt to Turkish the `Musical Perception Test` widely used for international scientific research, determine the validity and reliability thereof and, bring to our country a test that objectively assesses the skills of musical perception. 100 individuals at the age of 18-40 with normal hearing and without any professional music education have participated in the study. After the translation and adaptation to Turkish the Musical Perception Test (MPT) consisting of 4 fields including Rhythm, Pitch, Timbre and Melody and, 11 sub test steps, sound records have been completed in a professional studio and, the volunteers took part in the test. A `Participant General Information Form` was provided to collect information on the sociodemographic attributes of the subjects and, their interest and experience in music. The data obtained in this manner have been statistically assessed and, the findings on the validity and reliability of the test have been analyzed. As a result of this study, it is found out that the total point average of the subjects for the Musical Perception Test is 97,5±12,2 (Min: 69, Max: 120), the Internal Consistency Value is 0,898, and the test-re-test correlation is 0,997. This result shows that the Musical Perception Test is a very reliable test. In the study, the highest point received by the subjects was for Rhythm Identification (9,2±1,2), while the lowest point was for the Identification of Number of Instruments (4,2±1,3). In addition, although there is no relationship between the total point from the Musical Perception Test and, the age of the subjects, the gender and educational background is a statistically significant determinant on the total point of the Musical Perception Test. Nonetheless, it has concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between the level of interest in music, frequency of listening to music and music genre, and the musical perception total point. Music, one of the indispensable factors in our lives, is also very important to those with hearing loss. As a valid and reliable test that objectively assess all the fields of music in our country, the Turkish Musical Perception Test (T-MPT) is the first and only test both for people with normal hearing and those with hearing loss. An objective assessment of musical perception skills of people will provide benefit in the determination of musical performance for those with normal hearing and, in the development of diagnosis, re/habilitation and amplification systems for those with hearing loss.
