Alaçam ilçe merkezi katı atıklarının fiziksel kompozisyonu ve bertaraf model araştırması

Abstract

Evsel ve diğer faaliyetlerden kaynaklanan katı atıkların özellikleri ve miktarları; yerel şartlardan, sosyal, ekonomik ve meteorolojik özellik lerden etkilenmektedir. Katı atıkların toplama, taşıma, bertaraf etme ve değerlendirme metotları büyük ölçüde kompozisyonlarına ve diğer özellikle rine bağlıdır. Bu nedenle, katı atık yönetiminde ilk adım mevcut katı atık ların kompozisyonunun ve diğer özelliklerinin belirlenmesi olmalıdır. Alaçam İlçe Merkezi' nde katı atık sorunu önemli boyutlardadır. İlçede üretilen çöpler, Uluçay (Alaçam) Deresi' nin kenarına hiçbir önlem alınma dan dökülmektedir. Bu durum Uluçay (Alaçam) Deresi'nin kirlenmesinden, sahil ve deniz kirlenmesine; estetik kirlenmeden, hava kirlenmesine, zararlı can lıların üremesine kadar geniş bir yelpazede olumsuzluklara neden olmakta dır. Bu çalışmayla; Alaçam İlçesi 'nde katı atıkların kontrolü konusunda bir sonuca varabilmek için öncelikle ilçeden toplanan atıkların miktar ve kompozisyonu incelenmiştir. İlçe sosyoekonomik yapı bakımından dört pilot bölgeye ayrılmış, her pilot bölgede ayda iki kez olmak üzere, on iki ay, sü reyle fiziksel kompozisyon ve su muhtevası incelemeleri yapılmıştır. Bu pa rametrelerin mevsimlere, sosyoekonomik şartlara, iklime, yerel koşullara göre gösterdiği değişimler izlenerek, elde edilen değerler kolon grafikler halinde düzenlenmiştir. Deneysel veriler ve ekonomik faktörler göz önüne alınarak en uygun bertaraf yöntemi araştırılmış ve alternatif yöntemler arasında düzenli depolama yöntemi uygun bulunmuştur. Mevcut depolama alanı nın çevresel etki değerlendirmesi çalışmaları yapılarak, bu uygulamadan kaynaklanan problemler belirlenmiştir. Alaçam İlçe Merkezi katı atıklarının düzenli depolanması için alternatif sahalar incelenerek uygun bir saha tes bit edilmiş ve projelendirme yapılmıştır.

The amounts and the features of the solid wastes caused by domestic and other activities have been affected by the local, social, economical, and meteorological conditions. The collection, transfer, disposal, and evaluation methods of the solid wastes considerably depend on their compo sitions and other characteristics. That is why the first step in solid waste management should be the determination of the present compositions and the other characteristics of solid wastes. The solid waste problem in Alaçam town center has extended important dimensions. The rubbish in the town have been dumping near the Uluçay (Ala çam) Stream without taking any precaution. This case has caused problems in the wide fan of pollution from the Uluçay (Alaçam) Stream to the coast and sea, from esthetics to air, and the reproduction of harmful organisms. In this study in order to come to a conclusion on the subject of the solid waste control in Alaçam town the amount and the composition of the solid wastes collected from the town have primarily been investigated. The town was separated into four pilot regions regarding the socio-economical conditions. The physical composition and moisture examinations have been done in each pilot region twice a month during a twelve-month period. By following the changes of the parametres according to seasons, climate, socio-economical, and local conditions the reached values have been shown in column graphics. After the evaluation of the empirical in jts and the economical factors the most convenient disposal method was found as the sanitary landfill method among the alternative methods. The environmental impact evaluation of the present dumping area has led to find the problems caused by this application. As a result of the investigation of the alter native areas a convenient area has been found in order to dump the solid wastes of Alaçam regularly and İt was projected.
