2. SUMMARY The Olimpics are explained as two periods. First one of these periods is the Archeic Olimpic games between B.C 776 and A.D 392, second of these periods is the Modern Olimpic Games from 1896 to nowadays The Archaic Olimpics had been made as a festival of the Greeks to reconcile city-states which had been eachother and for commemorating Zeus. The first Olimpic had been made as one race only in a day, the following days, sports brances had been increased. The games had been branches had been increased. The games had been repeated 292 times each four years. Until the Romes had occupied the Greece in A.D. 146, after that the structure of the gmes had been damaged and in A.D.392, The Romes had cancelled the Archaic Olimpic Games for the reason of idotalry. The Modern Olimpic Games have been made in Atina İn 1896 as a big work by a French Baron named Pierre de Coubertin and have still been continuing up now. During The First World War, 1 Olimpic and during the Second World War, 2 Olimpics were not made. Also, in 1906, The Greeks arranged an Olimpic which weren't accepted as a formal game. Although, at the Olimpic games there have been a lot of problems, boykots and unwilled events, The Olimpic Games have been the most important event for this 106 years. Day by day, developing and growing olimpics have been recorded in history as a uniting event spreading all over the world. Türkiye took place in the olimpics owing to the the struggle of Selim Sırrı Tarcan. Türkiye joined the Olimpics in 1908 for the first time. Türkiye entered into the 1924 Paris Olimpics. At first our sportmen came out the rostrun in Berlin in 1936. Ahmet Kirişçi from Mersin took the our first medal and Yaşar Erkan took the our first golden medal. Türkiye succeeded in taking 33 golden medals from the Olimpics so far. İn this thesis, I tried to write about the historical account devoloping and carrying out of the Olimpic Games which have begun many years ago in the history. Also, I tried to explain the probability that the first olimpics had been made in»? Anotalia which had been a secret in the history and the Olimpos Mountains present in Anotalia and also I told abaut the opinions, including the idea of lighting the first torch at the Çıralı Mountain near Finike in Antalya. İn addition to these, I told about the success of Türkiye in the Olimpics and despite being closed, the spirit of the Olypics that have became active after centwies and the way the Olypics Game going XI
