dc.description.abstractSUMMARY SYNTHESIS OF SOME TRANSITION METAL COMPLEXES OF POLY(VİNYL CHLORIDE) BOUND CARBOXYLATED DİAMİNOETHYL KURT, Gülşah Niğde University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Chemistry Supervisor : Doç.Dr. Bedrettin MERCİMEK September 2003, 50 pages Poly(vinyl chloride)(PVC) has been modified with diaminoethane, bromoacetic acid as PVC-CDAE, which has been characterized by spektroscopic and elemental analyses. PVC-CDAE has further been reacted with alcoholic solutions of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) to form the intensely colored PVC-CDAE-M(II) complexes. The structures of these complexes have been analyzed by elemental, Magnetic Susceptibility and IR spectral analyses.
