Bu çalısmada Fusarium oxysporum Schlechtend.: Fr. f. sp. cepae (H. N. Hans. )W. Topraklardan izole edilen fungustürlerinin patojene karsı antagonistik etkisi in vitro kosullarda belirlenmistir. Toprakörneklerindeki antagonist fungus populasyonu analizleri F. oxysporum f. sp. cepae 'yakarsı toprak fungistasisinde antagonist fungus türlerinin önem tasıdıgını göstermistir.Anahtar kelimeler: Yemeklik sogan (Allium cepa L.), Fusarium oxysporum f. sp.cepae, fungistasis, toprak uçucu bilesikleri, antagonist funguspopulasyonu
dc.description.abstract27 soils from the onion (Allium cepa L.) fields of Tekirdag province and distinctswere taken to investigate the effect of soil fungistasis on suppression of basal rot ofonion caused by Fusarium oxysporum Schlechtend.: Fr. f. sp. cepae (H. N. Hans. ) W.C. Snyder H. N. Hans in this study. Soil samples from rhizosphere region at a depth of2?20 cm. were collected at seedling stage of onion. Some physical and chemicalcharacteristics of the soils were tested.Fungistasis was evaluated using two assay methods including the inhibition ofpathogen spore germination by the volatile compounds from the soil and thedetermination of antagonist fungus population of the soil samples. High inhibition ratesof spore germination of the pathogen due to volatiles from soils were not detected insoil samples. The inhibition rates of volatile compounds from soils for the inhibition ofspore germination of pathogen were not correlated with physicochemical properties ofthe soils. Antagonism tests with fungi isolated from soil against F. oxysporum f. sp.cepae were realized in vitro condition. Antagonist fungal population analysis in soilsamples indicated that the presence of antagonist fungi species might be essential for thedevelopment of fungistasisKey words: Onion (Allium cepa L.), Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cepae, fungistasis, soil volatile compounds, antagonist fungus populationen_US
