dc.description.abstractDil ve düsünme arasindaki iliski kuramsal açidan da deneysel açidan daçaglar boyunca ilgi çekmistir, çekmeye de devam etmektedir. Dilbilimciler,felsefeciler, ruhbilimciler bu konuda birçok görüs ortaya koymuslar, ancak ortak birnoktada henüz anlasamamislardir.Bu arastirmada disiplinlerarasi bakis açisina önem verilmis ve bu noktadapsikolojinin iki önemli ismi Vygotsky ile Piaget ele alinmistir. Vygotsky ve Piaget,özellikle bilissel teori konusunda çalisan; dil-bilis arasindaki iliskiyi ortaya koymaçabasinda olan psikologlardir. Bu iki psikologun karsilastirmasini yapmadan önce,yöntemsel düsünce olarak iki bin bes yüz yil öncesine giden felsefe tarihi içindeözellikle düsünme-dil baglantisini irdeleyen düsünürler kisaca incelenmistir.Böylelikle dilin gerek insan gerek toplumlarin gelisimi üzerinde oynadigi rolünönemi belirtilmeye çalisilmistir.Çalisma boyunca Vygotsky ve Piaget'nin görüsleri ayri ayri degerlendirilmisve bunu yaparken de birinin digerinden daha iyi düsündügünü kanitlamak yerine herikisinin de düsünme ve dil arasindaki kuramsal boyuttaki farkliliklarinin ortayakonmasi hedeflenmistir. Çalismada da görülecegi gibi, hem Piaget hem deVygotsky'e göre dil ve düsünme arasinda çok yakin bir baglanti söz konusudur.
dc.description.abstractThe relation between thought and langua ge has both theoretically andempirically drawn attention for ages; and it still does. Linguists, philosophers, andpsychologists have so far put forward many ideas, but they haven?t yet come to anagreement on a common point.In this research, close attention has been paid to interdisciplinary study, and atthis point, two important names in psychology, Vygotsky and Piaget, have beenreferred to. Vygotsky and Piaget were psychologists who worked particularly on thecognitive theory and tried to put forth the relation between language and cognition.Before comparing these two psychologists, especially the philosophers who analyzedthe relation between thought and language have been surveyed methodically in thehistory of philosophy that goes back two thousand and five hundred years. Theimportance of the part that language plays on the development of both human andsociety has hereby been exuded.Throughout the research Vygotsky?s and Piaget?s ideas have been assessedseparately, and while doing this, bringing the differences between their approaches tothe theoretical aspect of language and thought out into the open rather than provingwhich man?s thoughts are more valid than the other?s. As it can be seen in thisresearch, there is, according to both Vygotsky and Piaget, a close relation betweenlanguage and thought.en_US
