Yas tepkilerinin algılanan eş desteği, duygusal baskılama ve duygusal tepkisellik ile ilişkilerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada en az 6 en çok 18 ay önce kan bağı olan bir akrabasını kaybeden kişilerde yas tepkileri ile eş desteği, duygusal tepkisellik ve duygusal baskılamanın ilişkileri incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın örneklemini oluşturan katılımcılar yaşları 25 ile 74 arasında değişen 147 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada Demografik Bilgi Formu, Eş Destek Ölçeği, Duygusal Tepkisellik Ölçeği, Courtauld Duygu Kontrol Ölçeği ve Yas Ölçeği'nden oluşan test bataryası kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda yas tepkileri, duygusal tepkisellik ve duygusal baskılama puanlarının kadınlarda, algılanan eş desteği puanlarının ise erkeklerde daha yüksek olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca regresyon analizi neticesinde kayba hissedilen yakınlık, duygusal destek ve duygusal tepkiselliğin yas tepkileri ile ilişkili olduğu bulunmuştur.

Relationships of mourning reactions with spouse support, emotional reactivity and emotional suppression were investigated in the present study among participants whose blood relatives died 6-18 months ago. 147 participants aged between 25 and 74 composed the sample of the study. Demographic Information Form, Spouse Support Scale, Emotional Reactivity Scale, Courtauld Emotional Control Scale and Mourning Scale were utilized for data collection. It was found that mourning reactions, emotional reactivity and emotional suppression scores of females were higher whereas their perceived spouse support scores were lower as compared to the males. Moreover, mourning reactions of the participants were associated with the perceived intimacy with the bereavement, emotional support of the spouse and emotional reactivity according to the results of the regression analysis.
