dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada, 4?-(Hexyloxy)-4-biphenylcarbonitrile ve 4-Isothiocyanatophenyl 4-pentylbicyclo[2.2.2] octane-1-carboxylate sıvı kristallerin saf ve belli oranlardaki karışım numuneleri elde edildi. Numunelerin absorbans ölçümleri UV-VIS spektrometre ile, floresans ölçümleri ise spektroflorofotometre ile belirlendi. Dielektrik sabitlerinin ölçümü ise 9x9 mm2 alana sahip hücresel kondansatörler kullanılarak Keithley 4200-SCS (Semiconductor charactarization system) cihazıyla yapıldı. Bu sonuçlar temel halin dipol momentlerinin belirlenmesi için Lippert Eşitliğinde, uyarılmış halin dipol momentlerinin belirlenmesi için Guggenheim-Smith denkleminde kullanıldı. K1-Y1 numunelerinde çözücü polarite artışına bağlı olarak absorbans spektrumunun daha kısa dalga boylu bölgeye kaydığı (blue shift) görüldü. Bu durum temel halin dipol momentinin uyarılmış halin dipol momentine göre daha kararlı olduğunu göstermektedir, yani µK1> µ*Y1 olmaktadır. Ayrıca K2-Y2, L1-Z1, L2-Z2, ve L3-Z3 numunelerinin uyarılmış haldeki dipol moment değerlerinin temel haldeki dipol moment değerlerinden daha büyük olduğu görüldü.Anahtar Kelimeler: 4'-(hekziloksi)-4-bifenilkarbonitril ve 4-izotiosiyanatofenil 4-pentilbisiklo [2.2.2] oktan-1-karboksilat sıvı kristalleri, Dipol moment, Floresans, Absorbans
dc.description.abstractIn this study, the samples of 4'- (Hexyloxy)-4-biphenylcarbonitrile and 4-Isothiocyaratophenyl 4-pentylbicyclo [2,2,2]octane-1-carboxylate nematic liquid crystal, in pure and certain proportions mixtures, samples are obtained. Absorbance measurement of samples are taken with UV- VIS spectrophotometer, fluorescence measurement are also taken with spectroflorophotometer devices. Dielectrical measurement of samples is also done with Keithley 4200-SCS (Semiconductor charactarization system) device by using cellular condenser, having 9x9mm2 area. To determine dipole moment of ground state, these results are used in the Lippert equation, and then for dipol moment of excited state these results are used in the Guggenheim-Smith equation, a theoretical method. In the K1-Y1 samples, according to the increasing of solvent polarity, it is seen that the absorbance spectrum is slipped to blue shift. As a result of this, dipole moment of ground state is to be higher than the excited state, that is, µK1> µ*Y1 . In addition, in the K2-Y2, L1-Z1-Z2 L2 and L3-Z3 samples, dipole moment values of excited state are to be higher than the ground state dipole moment values.Keywords: 4'-(hexyloxy)?4-biphenylcarbonitrile ve 4-ısothiocyanatophenyl 4-pentylbicyclo [2.2.2] octane-1-carboxylate liquid crystals, Dipole Moment, Fluoresce, Absorbanceen_US
