Şirketlerin performansı, yönetim yapıları ve üst düzey yönetici değişimleri arasındaki ilişkinin analizi

Abstract

Bu çalısmada, istatistiksel analiz yöntemi ile sirket performansı, Genel Müdür degisimi,Sirket Tipi ve sirketlerin Yönetim Yapısı arasındaki iliski irdelenmistir. Analizsonuçlarına göre sirketlerin Genel Müdür degisimi ile sirket performansları arasındabir iliski bulunmamaktadır. Sirket Tipi ve Yönetim Yapısı arasındaki iliski incelenirkenkurulan Sirket Tipi tipolojisine göre sirketleri gruplasabilmek amacıyla bir Sirket TipiBelirleme Modeli olusturulmustur. Bu model yardımı ile sirketlerin Sirket Tipleribelirlenmis ve Yönetim Yapısı, yani Genel Müdür'ün sirket içinden veya sirket dısındanolma durumu, ile iliskilendirilmistir. Analiz sonucunda ise Yönetim Yapısı ve SirketTipi arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir iliski bulunmustur. Bu sonuca göreprofesyonel sirketlerin sahip sirketlerine kıyasla genel Müdür seçimini sirket dısındanyapmaya daha egilimli oldugu tezi ispatlanmıstır. Diger bir hipotez yardımı ile de sirketperformansı ve Yönetim Yapısı arasındaki iliski sorgulanmıstır. Ancak analizsonuçlarına göre düsük performanslı sirketlerin performansı iyi olan sirketlere kıyaslaGenel Müdür seçimini sirket dısından yaptıkları tezi dogrulanamamıstır. In this study, by applying statistical analysis, firm performance, relations between GeneralManager Turnover, Firm Type and firms Management Structure are examined. Accordingto the analysis results there found no relation between General Manager Turnover and firmperformance. While examining relation between Firm Type and Management Structure,firms are categorized according to Firm Type Typology by using new developed Firm TypeDetermination Model. Afterwards by the help of the model, Firm Type for each firm isdetermined and an analysis focused on the relationship between Management Structure andFirm Type is conducted. The result denotes that there is a statistically significant relationbetween Firm Type and Management Structure. Considering this result, the hypothesis, thisargues that professional firms are more likely to choose General Manager from outside thefirm than the owner firms, is approved. By developing another hypothesis, relation betweenManagement Structure and firm performance is questioned. According the analysis results,the hypothesis denoting that firm with low performance are more likely to choose GeneralManager from outside the firm than high performing firms, is refused. No relation betweenfirm performance and Management Structure could be determined.Key Words: Performance, Firm Type, General Manager Turnover, ManagementStructure
