Doç. Dr. Hilmi NAMLI ) Balıkesir, 2004 Bu çalışmada bir 1,3-dikarbonil bileşiği olan 1,3-indandion dietilftalat ve etilasetattan sentezlenmiştir. İndandion türevlerinin en kolay sentezleneni olan 1,3-indandion ilgili literatüre göre sentezlenip, daha fazla kullanım alanı olan 1,2,3-indantrion (ninhidrin) ve biyolojik aktivitesi açısından önemli 1,3-indandiol sentezlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Ninhidrin(9b), ftalik asit(39), l,3-indandiol(40) Denemelerde literatür verilerinden daha yüksek verimli bir yöntem bulunamamıştır. Bazı yükseltgenler beşli halkayı ftalik aside parçalamıştır. İndirgenmelerde de 1,2-indandiol ve tanımlanamayan bazı yan ürünler elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen ürünler İR' de incelenmiştir. IR'ler karşılaştırmalı olarak deneysel kışıma eklenmiştir. dc.description.abstractABSTRACT INVESTIGATIONS ON OXIDATION AND REDUCTION REACTIONS OF 1,3-INDANEDIONE DERIVATIVES Ibrahim ŞEN Balıkesir University, Institute of Science, Department of Chemistry ( M.Sc Thesis / Supervisor : Assoc Prof. Dr. Hilmi NAMLI ) Balıkesir-Türkiye, 2004 In this study, 1,3-indandione one of cyclic dicarbonyl compounds, was synthesized from diethylphthalate and ethyl acetate. As the most easily synthesized indanone derivative, 1,3-indandione has been synthesized acording to the literature and a more commonly applied 1,3-indandione, 1,2,3-indanetrione (ninhydrine), and biologically activite 1,3-indanediole have been tried to synthesize. Ninhydrin(9b), phtalic acid(39) and l,3-indandiol(40) were obtained from the reactions of oxidation and reduction of 1,3-indandione. From 1,3-indandione studied to get 2 position oxidation cheap and easy method ninhydrin. But some experiment broke Even though the targeted products were obtained, higher yield, better condition or more affordable way than literature procedures could not be reached. In some experiments with oxidizing reagents, ring fragmentations to the phtalic acid and some unidentified products has been observed. Purified compounds were investigated by FT-IR spectroscopy, and a compilation of their spectrums was given in the experimental section.
