Sosyal bilgiler dersinde kavram karikatürleri kullanımının öğrencilerin derse yönelik tutum ve yaratıcı düşünme becerilerine etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde karikatür ve kavram karikatürü kullanımının 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin yaratıcı düşünme becerileri ve derse yönelik tutumları üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu, 2015-2016 eğitim-öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Amasya ili merkez ortaokullarından birisinde öğrenim gören deney grubunu oluşturan 6-B sınıfından 20, kontrol grubunu oluşturan 6-A sınıfından 20 öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 40 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır.Çalışmada ön test son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel araştırma modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Sosyal Bilgiler Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği ve Torrance Yaratıcı Düşünme Becerileri testi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi, SPSS 18.00 paket programında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde parametrik testlerden; bağımsız ve bağımlı örneklem t-testinde yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, deney grubunda bulunan öğrencilerin Sosyal Bilgiler dersine yönelik tutum son test puan ortalamaları ile kontrol grubunda bulunan öğrencilerin son test puan ortalamaları arasında deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu bulunmuştur. Deney grubunda bulunan öğrencilerin yaratıcı düşünme becerileri son test puan ortalamaları ile kontrol grubunda bulunan öğrencilerin yaratıcı düşünme becerileri son test puan ortalamaları arasında deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu da yine bulgular arasındadır.Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, kavram karikatürlerine dayalı sosyal bilgiler dersinin öğretiminde öğrencilerin derse yönelik tutumlarını ve yaratıcı düşünme becerilerini olumlu yönde geliştirdiği gözlemlenmiştir

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of using concept cartoons in Social Science Lesson on the attitudes and creative thinking skills of students at secondary school level. The sample of the study includes 40 sixth grade students studying in 6-A and 6-B classes in the 2015-2016 spring education term in Amasya. 20 students are experiment group and the rest are control group. Semi-experimental model with pre and post-test was used in the study. The data collection tools used in the study were `Attitude Toward the Social Science Lesson` and `Torrance Creative Thinking Skills Test`. The data obtained by the use of quantitative research was analyzed by using the SPSS 18.00 data packet. According to the findings, there was a significant difference between the attitudes toward the social science lesson post-test mean scores of the experimental and the control groups, which was in favor of the experimental group. It was determined that there was a significant difference between the post-test scores of the creative thinking skills of the experimental group and the post-test scores of the creative thinking skills of the control group, which was in favour of the experimental group. According to the results of the study, the using of cartoon concepts in Social Science Lesson improved the attitutes and creative thinking skills of the students.
