Katalan sayılar ve modüler aritmetik

Abstract

Katalan sayılar, kombinatorik matematikte birçok problemin çözümünde kullanılan özel bir sayı dizisidir.Bu tezde, Katalan sayı dizisi ve bu dizinin terimleri üzerinde yapılmış olan çalışmalar incelendi. Ayrıca, p asal sayı olmak üzere Katalan sayı dizisinin terimleri mod p, mod p2 ve mod p3 de incelendi ve Katalan sayılar ile ilgili bazı teoremler verildi.

Catalan numbers, which are used to solve many problem on combinatorial mathematics, is a special sequence of numbers.In this thesis, the studies conducted on Catalan number sequence and Catalan numbers, were examined. Furthermore, terms of Catalan number sequence were examined for mod p, mod p^2 and mod p^3 such that p is a prime and some theorems concerning with Catalan numbers was given.
