Viktorya Şiirindeki TemesalDüzeyde Kacis (Escapism in Victorian Poetry on Thematic Level) adh ikinci böliimsiginma fikrinin Viktorya Şiirindeki ana temesal unsur olmasını sağlayan motifler,görüş aciları, dünyevi ve uzaysal mekanlar gibi edebi konulan tartisır. ViktoryaŞiirindeki Biçimsel Düzeyde Kacis isimli (Escapism in Victorian Poetry on theStructural Level) iiciincii bölümde Viktorya Şiirindeki siginma dusüncesinin şiirselbiçimle ifadesini mümkiin kılan dramatik monolog, betimleme, çok yönlü kimliklergibi biçimsel yöntemleri tartismaya açtık.
dc.description.abstractThe present thesis focuses on escapism in Victorian Poetry, asrepresenting one of its major thematic concerns reified in a number of literarytexts belonging to such authors as Tennyson, Browning, Hopkins and others. Inrelation to this major aim of our research, in Chapter 1, entitled The Conditionof Victorian Poetry, we have attempted at discussing Victorian poetry in EnglishLiterature taking into consideration the dominance of Realistic fiction in theage, the continuation of Romantic features and the gaining patronage of its ownstatus. Chapter 2, entitled Escapism in Victorian Poetry on the Thematic Level,discusses those literary concerns, motives, points of view, spatial and temporalscenes, etc. that marked the consolidation of the idea of refuge as a majorthematic component in Victorian Poetry. Chapter 3, entitled Escapism inVictorian Poetry on the Structural Level, brings into discussion those structuraldevises, such as dramatic monologue, imagery, multiple identities, etc. thatmake possible the expression, through the poetic form, of the idea of refuge inVictorian Poetry.en_US
