John Whiting in Şeytanlar oyunundaki Rahibe Jeanne karakterinin Stanislavski oyunculuk sistemi üzerinden incelenmesi

Abstract

Konstantin Stanislavski `Çağdaş Oyunculuk Sistemi` ve `Oyunculuk Eğitimi`nin kurucusudur. Pek çok diğer metod Stanislavski metodu olarak bilinen bu metod üzerine inşa edilerek geliştirilmiştir. İşte bu yüzden pek çok oyunculuk okulunda öncelikle, temel olarak Stanivslavski Sistemi öğretilir. Sistem; önce, oyuncunun kendi başına yapacağı bir masabaşı çalışmasıyla yani; araştırma, inceleme ve sorgulama süreciyle başlar. İçsel ve dışsal çalışma teknikleriyle devam eder. Stanislavski, metinle buluşan oyuncunun önce, metin yazarının hayatı, dönemi ve eserleri ile ilgili bir araştırma yapmasını, sonra eserin geçtiği dönemi araştırmasını ve bu araştırma evresinden sonra da, metne yönelerek fabel ve sujeyi belirlemesini ister. Bu çalışmalarla, eserin başlangıç, düğüm, gelişme, doruk, çözüm ve final noktaları iyice belirginleşir. Eserin türü, tarzı ve ana çatışması belirlenir. Sonra eserin anafikri oluşturulur. Oyuncu, bu aşamadan sonra karakteri incelemeye geçmelidir. `Ne yapıyorum?` ve `Ne için yapıyorum?` sorularının cevaplarını arar. Karakterin Büyük İsteğini ve Üstün Amacını bulur. Oluşturduğu bu temel bundan sonraki sahne üzeri çalışması için, yani; nasıl yapıyorum? sorusuna cevaplar arayabilmek için şarttır. İşte tüm bu süreç, Stanislavski'nin içsel ve dışsal çalışmalarıyla beraber, bir karakter yaratmak için, oyuncuya sunduğu izlek ve temel yöntemdir. Ben de Stanislavski'nin oyuncuya sunduğu bu izleği takip ederek JOHN WHITING'in ŞEYTANLAR oyunundaki RAHİBE JEANNE karakterini inceleyeceğim. Konstantin Stanislavski is the founder of `Contemporary Acting System` and `Education of Acting`. Many other methods were built and developed upon this method called `Stanislavski's Method of Acting`. That's why many acting schools teach, first of all, Stanislavski's System. The system begins with a desktop study which is performed by actor/actress on his/her own, that is with a process of investigation, research and questioning. And then it continues with intrinsic and extrinsic studying techniques. Stanislavski requires an actor/actress, upon being given the text, to conduct a research about text writer's life, period and works, first of all, and then to probe into the period which the work portrays and, after this research phase is over, to go deeper into the text for identification of fable and subject. Thanks to output of all these works, beginning, deadlock, progress, climax, resolution and final points of the work get quite clearer. Genre, style and core conflict of the work are identified. Then, a main theme of the work is carved up. The actor/actress must give a start to character analysis after this phase. S/he looks for an answer to qestions, 'What I am doing?' and 'Why I am doing this?' S/he tracks down the Entire desire and Superior Goal of the character. The foundation so set up is essential on-stage work, that is for being able to looking for answers to question 'How I should I do this'. This whole process is a pathway and core method offered by Stanislavski to actor/actress for him/her to be able to create a character, along with all the intrinsic and extrinsic efforts. I am going deeper into the character of SISTER JEANNE, in the DEVILS, a play by JOHN WHITING, pursuing this pathway offered by Stanislavski to actors/actresses.
