Öğretmen algılarına göre okul yöneticilerinin liderlik stilleri: Orta Karadeniz Bölgesi`nde yapılan araştırma

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, okul yöneticilerinin sahip olduğu liderlik niteliklerini, okul yöneticisinin aldıkları lisans eğitimi, cinsiyet, mesleki deneyim, yaş, okul türü gibi değişkenleri açısından inceleyerek, okul yöneticilerinin sahip oldukları liderlik nitelikleriyle ne derece farklılaştıklarını belirlemektir. Cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem, yaş, okul türü gibi değişkenlerin araştırılması literatürdeki diğer çalışmalarla benzer olsa da araştırma grubundaki farklılıkla beraber eğitim yöneticisinin aldığı lisans eğitiminin, liderlik alanında nasıl değerlendirildiği ile ilgili bir boşluk yakalanmıştır. Bu boşluk da okul yöneticilerinin aldıkları lisans eğitimi liderlik alt boyutlarını öğretmenlere göre nasıl etkiliyor? sorusunun cevaplanmasıyla giderilecek olup eğitim ile ilgilenen herkes için bu cevaplar ilgi çekici olacaktır.Çalışmanın örneklemini, Orta Karadeniz Bölgesindeki ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan 66 sınıf öğretmeni, 25 yabancı diller öğretmeni, 177 psikolojik danışmanlık ve rehberlik öğretmeni, 12 Türkçe-edebiyat öğretmeni, 24 matematik öğretmeni, 18 fen bilimleri-fizik-kimya-biyoloji öğretmeni, 28 uygulamalı dersler-bilişim-görsel-beden-müzik öğretmeni, 5 sosyal bilgiler-tarih-coğrafya öğretmeni, 3 din kültürü ve ahlak bilgisi öğretmeni, 46 okul öncesi-çocuk gelişimi öğretmeni, 17 de diğer branşlardan olmak üzere toplam 421 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem grubu, evrende bulunan ve tesadüfi örnekleme yoluyla seçilen ilköğretim okullarıdır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen `Etkili Liderlerin Nitelikleri Ölçeği` (ELNÖ) kullanılmıştır.

The purpose of this study is to determine the leadership qualities of the school administrators and to determine the differences in the leadership qualities of the school administrators by examining the variables of the school manager such as undergraduate education, gender, professional experience, age and type of school. Although the study of variables such as gender, seniority, age and school type is similar to other studies in the literature, the gap between the research group and the education manager has been evaluated in the leadership field. This gap will be filled with the answer of this question `How does the undergraduate education of the school administrators affect the sub-dimensions of leadership by teachers?` and these answers will be of interest to anyone interested in education.The sample of the study consists of total 421 teachers including 66 classroom teachers, 25 foreign language teachers, 177 psychological counseling and guidance teachers, 12 Turkish-Literature teachers, 24 mathematics teachers, 18 sciences-physics-chemistry-biology teachers,28 applied course –information and communication technologies- visual arts- physical education teachers, 5 social studies-history-geography teachers, 3 religious culture and ethics teachers, 46 pre-school-child development teachers and 17 other branches teachers working in the primary schools in the Central Black Sea Region. The sample group is the primary schools in the universe selected by random sampling. In the study, `Qualification Scale of Effective Leaders` which was developed by the researchers was used as data collection tool.
