dc.description.abstract | SUMMARY Sealing of the he atini' areas is a measure for underground coal mines and controls the airflow into the heating ana. This process needs passing a period even though when inertisation is used. The factors like the isolation of seals and compactness of environmental formations effect this period. Observing the changes in the composition of the atmosphere behind seals measures the effectiveness oi sealing technigue. The determination of the state of the heating provides to prevent ılı. losses of life, equipment and source. The monitoring has vital importance. The correct interpretation provides to have right decisions. The most common method to assess the explosibilty of the atmosphere behind the seal is Coward Method. In this study, the abilit> of fast, reliable and correctly analysing of the explosibility of a mine atmosphere was investigated. For this purpose, a computer program has written. The program lias tried for real data taken from T.T.K Kozlu district and the results obtained were compared with manuel results. The results has shown that the program which uses Coward Method is suitable to the aim. There is a possibiliu of controlling with comparing of the data from computer programme and the results ol ( oward Diaghragm with U.S. Bureau of Mines Method and Mitchell Index.
