dc.description.abstractÖZET Yüksek Lisans Tezi KUATERNİON CEBRİNİN KLASİK MEKANİĞE UYGULANMASI TÜLAY TOLAN Anadolu Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Fizik Anabilim Dalı Danışman: Prof. Dr. Kudret ÖZDAŞ 1998, sayfa 44 Öteleme ve dönme hareketlerinin kuatemion ve dual kuaternionlarla temsilinin, fizikçilerin daha yaygın olarak tercih ettikleri homojen matris temsilinden daha basit bir forma ve daha açık bir geometrik anlama sahip olduğu bilinmektedir. Bu yüzden öteleme ve dönmenin büyüklüklerini ve yönlerini doğrudan veren kuaternion temsili ve bunun bir uygulaması olan bir sistemin açısal momemtumu, eylemsizlik momenti bu çalışmada ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca buna ilaveten dual kuaternionların cebrini incelenip Serret-Frenet Üçyüzlüsünün ifadeleri tanımlanmıştır. Therefore quaternion representation, gives magnitudes and direction of translation and rotation, and angular momentum, moment of inertia of a system which are an application of quaternion representation are investigated in this thesis.
