dc.description.abstractABSTRACT In this work the stress concentrion factors developed on the composite flat plates with reinforcement of various orientation and length are investigated. In the case of the concentrated loading of the axial symmetric plate, the analysis of the stresses `are studied by using the isoparametric finite element method. Isoparametric element with eight-node rectangular cross sections are considered as finite element type. Gauss metod is introduced for numerical integration to determine the properties of finite element. Graphical results indicate that the present work and photoelastic method are in good agreement for the present the isotropic plates. The results of the stress concentration factor analyses have been given in terms of graphics and tables.en_US
