Abstract

928 ABSTRACT In this PhD research, we focused on Tarık Buğra' s `Life`, `Literary Personality` and `Works`; and gowe a distintive bibli ography related to his life, personality and works. Considering the information on the author's life, we made use of conversation made with the author. According to this infonmation, Tank Buğra was born in 1918 in Akşehir. He completed his primary and secondary school educations in Akşehir then, in 1936 graduated from Konya Leycee. After graduation he attended faculty of Medicine for two years, and faculty of Law for two years. Tank Buğra published the following magazines: Nasreddin Hoca (1947), Zeytin Dalı (1948) and Yol (1963). The author, who published his first story in 1948, wrote articles for various magazines and daily papers. He was awarded TRT Novel Award for his work t biş' in Riiyasx. The author who was chosen as the Artist of the Year by the Union of Authors, is married and father of a child. We grouped his works which we eaxamined are as follows: `His Stories`, `His Novels`, `His Dramas`, `Travel Notes` and `Articles`. The author wrot eighty two stories, eighteen novels, and six dramas. Diaries of the author on his travelling abroad have been divided into two titles and his articles were articles were compiled in four books. The works of author which we examined in this research are those : Stories: Fram his first story, Kekik Kokusu to the last one Bir Genel Müdür. Most of these stories like `Oğlumuz`, `Yaran Diye Bir Şey Yoktur`, `İki Uyku Arasında` and `Stories` compiled in four books. Novels: Yalnızlar, Tetik Çekildikten Sonra, Ofsayd, İnce Hesaplar, Siyah Kehribar, Dönemeçte, Abaza Paşa'nın rüyası, Şehir Uyurken, Yanıyor mu Yeşil Köşkün Lambası, Küçük Ağa, Firavun îmanı, İbiş' in Rüyası, Gençliğim Eyvah, Bir Köşkünüz Var mı?, Yağmur Beklerken, Dünyanın En Pis Sokağı, Osmancık, Çolak Salih. Among these novels, Tetik Çekildikten Sonra, Ofsayd, İnce Hesaplar, Abaza Paşa'nın Rüyası, Şehir Uyurken, Yanıyor mu Yeşil Köşkün Lambası were published in serials. Dramas: Akümülatörlü Radyo, Ayakta Durmak İstiyorum, Yüz lerce çiçek Birden Açtı, İbiş 'in Rüyası, Güneş ve Arslan, Patron. Travel Notes: Bir Köyden Bir Başşehre, Gagaringrad-Moskova Notları.
