Sınıf öğretmenlerinin ilköğretim okulu yöneticilerinin yeterlik alanlarına ilişkin beklentileri

Abstract

ÖZET YÜKSEK LİSANS TEZİ SINIF ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN İLKÖĞRETİM OKULU YÖNETİCİLERİNDEN YÖNETİCİLERİN YETERLİK ALANLARINA İLİŞKİN BEKLENTİLERİ Cengiz IŞIK Danışman: Yrd. Doç. Dr. Kenan ATAY Araştırmanın amacı, sınıf öğretmenlerinin kişisel değişkenlerine göre ilköğretim okulu yöneticilerinden, yöneticilerin yeterlik alanlarına ilişkin beklentilerin saptanması, yorumlanması ve araştırma sonuçlarına dayalı olarak uygun önerilerin sunulmasıdır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Erzurum ilinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı ilköğretim okullarında görevli sınıf öğretmenleri oluşturmuş, evrenin geniş olması nedeni ile örnekleme yoluna gidilerek 150 öğretmen araştırma kapsamına alınmıştır. Toplanan bilgilerin analizinde betimsel istatistiğin frekans, yüzde ve ortalama, vardamlı istatistiğin X2 (ki-kare) tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, okul yöneticilerinin göstermesi gereken yeterlikler konusunda öğretmenlerin fUrirbirliği halinde oldukları yeterlikler şunlardır 1. Okul yönetimine ilişkin kararlan verirken, üst kademeler ile öğretmen, öğrenci ve diğer personel arasında uzlaştırıcı ve bütünleştirici bir rol oynama. 2. Okul yönetimine ilişkin kararlan verirken, gruplar veya bireyler arası karar çözümlerinde tarafsız kalmayı başarma. 3. Okul içi ve dışı haberleşme etkinliklerinde açık ve etkili haberleşme yöntem ve araçlarından yararlanma. 4. Okul içi ve dışında uygulanan eğitim-öğretim çalışmalarının basan derecesini ölçmede amaçlar bakımından tarafsız değerlendirmeler yapma. 5. Yetki ve sorumluluğa ilişkin sorunlarda ikisini dengeli olarak yürütme. 6. Liderlik davranışlan balonundan öğretmen, öğrenci ve diğer personelin bilgi ve becerilerinden yararlanma.

II ABSTRACT MASTER THESIS Cengiz IŞIK EXPECTATIONS OF CLASSROOM TEACHERS FROM PRIMARY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN TERMS OF THEIR QUALIFICATION FIELDS Supervisor: Yrd. Doç. Dr. Kenan AT AY The aim of this research is to determine and to interprete the expectations of classroom teachers from primary school administrators in terms of their qualification fields regarding their personal and professional variants, and to introduce proper suggestions depending on the results of the research. The research covered the elementary school teachers serving at primary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. As the number of all those covered was excessive, sampling method was applied and 150 teachers were included in the study. Frequency, percentage and average techniques of the descriptive statistics, and x2 (chi-square) technique of the probability statistics was applied in the analysis of the collected data. According to the findings obtained through this research, the qualifications that the elementary school teeners expect in agreement that the primary school administrators should have are : 1. to play a reconciling and complementary role between the higher authorities and the teachers, students, and other personnel while making decisions regarding school administration, 2. to be able to remain objective while taking decisions to solve problems between groups or individuals, 3. to benefit from the common and effective communication methods and means in in-school and out- of-school communication activities, 4. to make objective evaluations in terms of the objectives in measuring the the degree of achievement of the educational and training tasks applied in and out of school, 5. to execute in balance both the authority and the responsibility in related matters, 6. to make use of the knowledge and skills of teachers, students and other personnel in terms leadership attitudes.
