Abstract

Dr. Ali Sinan BİLGİLİ Bu araştırma Türk Milli Eğitimi içerisinde çok önemli bir yer tutan Sosyal Bilgiler Ders programlarında yer alan Osmanlı Tarihi konularında uygulanacak yöntem, teknik ve stratejilerin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın temel sebebi, genel olarak Sosyal Bilgiler Derslerinde öğretmenlerin öğretimde kullandıkları yöntem ve stratejileri olumlu bir şekilde belirleyememeleri, bu konuda verimliliği sağlamaya yönelik bir çabanın içerisinde olmamalarıdır. İlköğretim programlan içerisinde yer alan Sosyal Bilgiler Derslerinde öğretmenler genelde klişeleşmiş yöntemleri, özellikle öğretmen ağırlıklı stratejileri kullanmakta, öğrencileri araştırmaya sevk edici geçmiş ile günümüzü bağdaştırıcı, etkileşim ağırlıklı, bireysel ağırlıklı, yaşantılara dayalı yöntemlere uzak durmaktadırlar. Elbette ki bu durum, Sosyal Bilgiler Derslerinin amaçlarının gerçekleşmesinde bir engel teşkil etmektedir. Bu araştırma esnasında ilköğretim ve ortaöğretimde Sosyal Bilgiler ve Tarih derslerine giren öğretmenlerin bu konudaki görüşlerine başvurulmuş, sıkıntılar ve çözüm yollan konusunda bizzat yaşantılar, uygulamalar, deneyimler yordanarak, hangi yöntem ve stratejilerin kullanılmasının iyi olacağı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.

Dr. Ali Sinan BİLGİLİ This study has been carried out in order to determine the best and most saitable methods and techniques that will be applied on the subjects of Ottoman History which have a prominent place in the curriculum of Social Science of Turkish National Education System. The reason of this study in general is that the teachers of social science courses are unable to determine the tecniques and strategies in teaching the subjects and that they are away from an attemp to have high standards in the courses. The teachers of history in secondary education generally use certain teacher-oriented methods and again they do not deal with individual-oriented methods which generally stimulate the students to investigation and build a bridge between past and present. No doubt, this constitules a handicap in reading the purposes of social science courses. During the present study, we got the opinions of the teachers of social science and history both in primary and secondary schools on this subject and considering the experiences and applications on the problems and solutions e tried to determine the best methods and strategies on the subjects of Ottoman History.
