İlköğretimde deprem ve depremin zararlarından korunma yollarının öğretimi

Abstract

Dr. Ünal ÖZDEMİR Yrd. Doç. Dr. İ. Fevzi ŞAHİN Yrd. Doç. Dr. Mustafa ERTÜRK Türkiye Alp - Himalaya Sismik Kuşağı'nda yer almaktadır. Bir yılda meydana gelen depremlerin % 15 'i bu kuşakta görülür. Jeolojik araştırmalar ve tarihsel istatistikler Türkiye'de her yıl bir yıkıcı deprem olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu depremlerde her yıl ortalama 1000 kişi ölmekte, 2100 kişi yaralanmakta ve 7000 bina yıkılmaktadır. Ülkemiz topraklarının %92'si deprem riski taşımaktadır. Ülke nüfusunun % 98 'i bu riskli bölgede yaşamaktadır. Depremden temel korunma tedbirleri yeterince uygulanmamaktadır. Bu yüzden depremler büyük can kayıplarına, sosyal, psikolojik ve ekonomik sorunlara neden olmaktadır. Sözkonusu sorunlar etkili bir deprem eğitimi ile giderilebilir. Bu eğitimin özelliği etkili öğretim yöntemleri, etkinlikleri ve stratejilerinin uygulanmasıdır. Öğretimin merkezinde öğrenme ve öğrenci vardır. Tezin alanını ilköğretim okulları I. kademe `Sosyal Bilgiler` dersi müfredat programı oluşturmaktadır. Uygulama ağırlıklı çalışma olması nedeniyle `monografi, istatistik ve örnekleme` metodları bir arada kullanılmıştır. Araştırma genel olarak iki bölümden oluşmuştur. Birinci bölümde deprem öğretiminde karşılaşılan sorunlar belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bunun için Erzurum ve Denizli'deki üç İlköğretim okulundaki I. kademe öğrencileri ile anket ve mülakat çalışması yapılmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise deprem ve zararlarından korunma yollarının etkin öğretimi için uygulanması gereken yöntem, etkinlik ve stratejiler üzerinde durulmuştur.

Prof. Dr. Ünal OZDEMIR Ass. Prof. Dr. İ. Fevzi ŞAHİN Ass. Prof. Dr. Mustafa ERTÜRK Turkey is located on the Alp - Himalaya seismic line. 1 5 % of the all earthquakes in the world occur on this line. Geological researches and historical statistics has shown that a ruining earthquake occurs in Turkey. In these earthquakes awroximately 1000 people die, 2100 get injured and 7000 building collapse down. 92 % of the lands of our country has earthquake risk. 98 % of the population of Turkey live in these risky area. Basic prevention techniques for eartquake is not sufficiently applied. This, eartquakes cause large number of deaths, and social, psychological and economic problems. These problems can be solved with affective earthquake education which contains effective teaching methods, activities and strategies. Learner and learning die in the center of this education. The scope of the study is composed of the lesson of `'social activities` in primary school. In the study, monography, questionnaire, statistical analysis and sampling techniques were used as it was an applied study. The study is divided into two main parts. In the first part the problems happening in earthquake education were detected and for this reason interviews in three primary schools in Erzurum and Denizli were done. In the second part, the method, activities and strategies which must be applied for an effective earthquake education were explained.
