Abstract

I ÖZET YÜKSEK LİSANS TEZİ İNGİLİZCE GRAMERİNİN İLETİŞİM SEL OLARAK ÖĞRETİLMESİ (KERNEL ONE/TWO REFERANS ALINARAK) Ramazan KORKMAZ Danışman : Yrd. Doç. Dr. Şahin GÖK 2001-SAYFA : 95 Jüri : Yrd. Doç. Dr. Şahin GÖK İngilizce öğretmenleri daha çok gramer öğretimine ilgi duymalarına rağmen, bunda başarılı olamamaktadırlar. Bu yüzden, bu çalışmanın amacı öğretme metot ve tekniklerini genel olarak sunmak ve ondan sonra İngilizce gramerinin iletişimsel olarak Türk öğrencilere nasıl öğretileceğini tartışmaktır. Önce dil öğretiminin kısa bir tarihi verilip ve daha sonra dil öğretiminde gramerin öneminden bahsedilmiş ve belli başlı metotlar gözden geçirilmiştir. İngilizce öğreniminde Türk öğrencilerin zorlukları ve dezavantajları açıklanmış, öneriler ve çözümleri ifade edilmiştir. Dil öğretiminde takip edilen ders kitabının önemli olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Fakat en önemlisi sadece ders kitabı değil, aynı zamanda öğretmenlerin kendileri ve de etkili ve düzenli bir şekilde kullanılan yöntemlerdir. Bununla birlikte, eğer biz bir öğrenme/öğretme sürecinin oluşmasını istiyorsak, sadece öğretmenlerin değil, aynı zamanda öğrencilerin de istenilen konuları öğrenmeye istekli ve hazır olmaları gerekmektedir. Sonuç olarak, İngilizce gramerinin, kısaca, İngilizce'nin başarılı bir şekilde öğretilmesi ve öğrenilmesi için, öğretmenler, ders kitapları, öğretme koşulları ve en önemli faktör olan istekli öğrencilerin iyi organize edilmeleri gerekmektedir. O zaman öğrenme ve öğretme oluşabilir.

So the aim of this study is to present the teaching methods and techniques in general and then to discuss how to teach English grammar to Turkish students communicatively. Firstly, a brief history of language teaching has been presented and then importance of grammar in language teaching has been discussed and the major methods have been overviewed. The difficulties and disadvantages of Turkish students in learning English have been explained and the suggestions and solutions have been expressed. It is clear that the course book to be followed is very important in language teaching. But the most important thing is not only the course book but also the teachers are themselves and the methods used effectively and regularly. In addition, if we wish a learning process to occur, not only the teacher but also the learners must be willing and ready to learn the desired subjects. As a result, for a successful teaching or learning of English grammar, shortly English, the teachers, the course books, teaching-learning conditions and the most important factor, eager learners must be well-organised. Then learning and teaching can occur.
