Abstract

Dr. Fikri KOKSAL Bu araştırmada, polis meslek yüksek okulunda eğitim gören polis adaylarının mezun oldukları orta öğretim şekli, anne-babanın öğrenim durumu, algılanan amir tutumu ve medeni hal gibi değişkenlerin psikolojik ihtiyaçlara etkisinin olup olmadığı ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Erzurum Polis Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinden oluşan 205 denek üzerinde gerçekleştirilen bu araştırmada ölçek uygulanması 2001-2002 öğrenim yılında yapılmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan deneklerin tümü erkektir. Verilerin toplanmasında, bireylerin psikolojik ihtiyaçlarının tespit etmek amacıyla Edwards tarafından geliştirilen Edwards Kişisel Tercih Envanteri (EKTE) ve araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesinde aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma `t` testi, istatistiki tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Psikolojik ihtiyaçların çok fazla farklılaşmaması, bu mesleğe ilgi duyan bireylerinin kişilik yapılarının benzerlik gösterdiğini ortaya koymaktadır.

Prof. Dr. Fikri KOKSAL This study was made on the candidates of policemen that are being educated in Police College. The Effect of the variables such as; their middle education fields' levels of education, marital status, and percieved attitude of the chief, on their psychological needs was analysed. The application of the scales in this research was performed in 2001/2002 school year, on the 205 male students of Erzurum Police College. While gaining data Edward's Personal Preference Schedule (EPPS) was used in order to find out the individuals' psychological needs, and Personal Information Form thats was prepared by the researcher was used to find out the veriables. While evaluating the gained data, `t` test was used. The psychological needs of the students, that appeared not to differentiate so much points out that there are similarities a mong the personalites of the individuals who chose this profession.
