Abstract

Dr. İhsan Sabrı BALKAYA Bu çalışmada, Osmanlı tarih yazarlarının düşmana bakış açısı araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, Osmanlı tarih yazarlarının düşmana bakış açılarını ve bu bakış açılarının nelerden kaynaklandığını ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırmamızın giriş kısmında kısa bir `Osmanlı Siyasi Tarihi` verildikten sonra, kaynaklan teşkil eden Osmanlı tarih yazarları ele alınmıştır. Ardından Osmanlı tarih yazıcılığı ve Osmanlı tarih yazarlarının alt yapıları incelenerek, ana konu olan düşman algısına hazırlık yapılmıştır. Daha sonra Osmanlıların, düşman algısının oluşumunda rol alan faktörler incelenerek Osmanlıların Hıristiyan ve Müslüman dünyaya bakış açıları, tarih yazarlarının eserleri vasıtasıyla ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Yaptığımız çalışmanın sonucunda ise; Osmanlılarda düşmanlık hislerinin kaynaklarının din, milliyet, iktidar, egemenlik, hakimiyet, üstün olma vb. gibi faktörlerden kaynaklandığına ulaşılmıştır.

Prof. İhsan Sabri BALKAYA In this study, the viewpoints of the Ottoman history writers towards the enemy were investigated. The purpose of the study points out the views of Ottoman writers of history and how those views had occurred. At the beginning of our study after mentioning `The Ottoman Political History` briefly, the Ottoman history writers who were the sources of this study were handled. Then the Ottoman history writing and the substructures of the history writers were examined, and thus the main topic, enemy perception, was prepared. In the following phase, the factors that played roles in creation of the concept enemy in Ottoman were examined and the viewpoints of Ottomans towards Muslim and Christian worlds were attempted to display through the works of history writers. As a result, it was reached that the basis of enemity in Ottomans depends on the factors such as religion, nation, dominance, sovereignty, and superiority.
