Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu`nun Sabır Ağacı romanında halk bilimi unsurları

Abstract

Kültür, insana yasadığı toplum içinde varlığına ait bir kimlik kazandırandeğerler bütünüdür. ?nsan doğduktan sonra milletine ait kültürle tanıstırılıp o kültürleeğitilmelidir. Bu eğitim belirli bir zaman diliminde değil insanın doğumundanbaslayarak ölümüne kadar geçen süre içinde verilmelidir. Kendi kültürü ile besleneninsanlar sağlıklı bir millet olusturacaklardır.Sabır Ağacı romanı; Kıbrıs'ın tarihini, Kıbrıs adasına sahiplik eden milletleri,bu milletlerin aralarındaki mücadeleleri, Türklerin Kıbrıs'ı fethini ve daha sonrakitarihi gelismeleri anlatmaktadır. Yazar bu tarihi olayları anlatırken halk bilimiöğelerine de değinerek okuyucusunu Türk Kültürü ile tanıstırmaktadır. Bu tanısmayıdaha da ileri götürerek okuyucusunu bu kültür öğeleri ile eğitmeyi düsünmüstür.Bu çalısmada, var olan halk bilimi unsurlarını tespit ederek onlar hakkındabilgi vermeye çalıstık. Böylece Türk kültür kodlarını günümüz dünyasında tekrar elealarak onlardan faydalanma amacı güttük.

Culture is the sum of values that gain man the identity of his place in hissociety. Man should be acquainted with the culture of his nation after he is born, andtrained under this culture. This training should be given throughout the period from hisbirth to death, not in a given period of time. Thus the people who grow up with theirown culture shall make up a healthy society.The novel Sabır Ağacı ( Patience Tree ) is concerned with the history ofCyprus, the nations ruling the island of Cyprus, the struggles between these nations,Turks? conquest of Cyprus and subsequent historical developments. Making a mentionof the folkloric elements while narrating these historical events, the writer aims toacquaint his readers with Turkish culture. He also thinks of furthering thisacquaintenance, thus training his readers through these cultural elements.Focusing on the abovementioned novel, the study is intended to find out thefolkloric elements in it and give information about them. In this way, Turkish culturalcodes are reintroduced in today?s world with the intention of making good use of them.
