Üniversite oyunlarının sosyal kültürel ve ekonomik etkileri: Erzurum 2011 Üniversitelerarası Kış Oyunları`na yönelik bir uygulama

Abstract

Gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkeler son yıllarda spor turizmine büyük bir önem vermekte ve spor turizmini bölgesel kalkınmanın bir aracı olarak görmektedir. Ayrıca bu ülkeler büyük spor organizasyonlarına katılarak turizm faaliyetlerinin artması ve tanıtım gibi avantajlara da sahip olmak istemektedirler.Bu çalışmada 27 Ocak- 6 Şubat tarihleri arasında Erzurum'da yapılan üniversiteler arası kış oyunlarının sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik etkileri araştırılmış, yöre halkının Erzurum 2011 Üniversitelerarası Kış Oyunları ile ilgili düşünceleri ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Aynı zamanda araştırmada bölgenin olimpiyatlara aday kent haline gelebilmesi için sahip olduğu kış turizmi arz potansiyelini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır.Çalışmada Erzurum'da yaşayan yöre halkına bir saha araştırması yapılmıştır. Örneklemi Erzurum şehir merkezinde yaşayan 18 yaş üstü kişiler oluşturmaktadır. Anket sonuçlarına göre kış oyunlarının ilimizde düzenlenmesinin genel etkileri olumlu görülmüştür. Ayrıca bu organizasyonun bölge için faydasının zararından daha çok olduğu konusunda yüksek oranda olumlu fikir beyan edilmiştir. Ancak Erzurum'un olimpiyat kenti olması için turizm ve kış sporlarında yetişmiş insan gücü eksikliğinin giderilmesi, şehrin tanıtımının iyi bir şekilde yapılması gerektiği söylenebilir.

In recent years, developed and developing countries have paid great attention to sports tourism and have seen that as a tool for local development. These countries want to have the advantages such as the rise of tourism activities and advertisement by attending big sport organisations, as well.In this study, the social, cultural and economical effects of the universiade winter games held in Erzurum have been searched, and thoughts of the local people about Erzurum 2011 Universiade Winter Games have been revealed. At the same time, it has been aimed at showing the potential of winter tourism that the district has in order to make it a nominee for the olympics.In the study, a field research was applied to the people living in Erzurum. The sampling consists of the people who are living in the city center and over 18. According to the results of the survey, the general effects of holding the organisation of winter games in our city are seen as positive. Many positive ideas have also suggested that the benefit of this organisation is much more then its damage. However, it can be said that, in order to make Erzurum an olympics city, the deficiency in the labour force for tourism and winter sports should be removed and the advertisement of the city should be done better.
