Erzurum- Hınıs ilçesi tarihi ve arkeolojik araştırmaları

Abstract

Görkemli pek çok uygarlığa ev sahipliği yapmış olan Anadolu coğrafyası için Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi ayrı bir önem teşkil eder. Üç tarafı denizlerle çevrili bu medeniyetler köprüsü yarımadaya bir tür giriş kapısı konumunda bulunan bölge, yükseltisi, engebeli topoğrafyası ve sert karasal iklimi gibi insan yerleşmesi için olumsuz sayılabilecek birçok özelliğine karşın jeostratejik konumu, yeraltı ve yerüstü kaynaklarının zenginliği gibi eşsiz özellikleri ile tarihin hemen her döneminde yerleşim görmüş ve kadim pekçok uygarlığa ev sahipliği yapmıştır.Çalışma bölgemizi oluşturan Hınıs İlçesi, tarihi ve kültürel açıdan büyük bir zenginliği bünyesinde barındıran Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi'nin bir parçası olup söz konusu bölgenin Yukarı Murat-Van Bölümü'nde yer alır. İlçe, idari anlamda bağlı bulunduğu Erzurum İli'nin güneydoğusunda ve ile yaklaşık 150 km. uzaklıkta yer alan dağlık bir bölgedir. Doğu Anadolu'nun sert iklimi ve zorlu fiziki şartlarına rağmen ilçe Eskiçağ'dan itibaren yerleşme görmüştür. Ancak şimdiye kadar bölgede bilimsel anlamda yapılan çalışmalar neredeyse yok denecek kadar azdır.Bu araştırma ile ilçe tarihinde şimdiye kadar çok az yapılmış tarihi ve arkeolojik araştırmalar derinleştirilerek ilçenin eskiçağ tarihine ışık tutulmaya çalışılmıştır. Gerçekleştirdiğimiz yüzey araştırmaları sırasında elde edilen yüzey buluntuları ve değerlendirilen merkezlerin önemli bir kısmı Urartu dönemine aittir. Bu çalışmanın, Hınıs İlçesi'nin Eskiçağ tarihinin aydınlatılmasında faydalı olabileceği ve daha sonraki çalışmalara temel teşkil edeceğini düşünmekteyim.Anahtar Kelimeler: Hınıs, Urartu, Erzurum, Doğu Anadolu

For the Anatolian geography where many civilizations, home to a lot of gorgeous civilizations, mixed with one another and become united, Eastern Anatolia region has a distinct importance. Despite its many features which can be considered negative for human habitation such as heights, rugged topography and severe terrestrial climate; surrounded by seas on three sides, the region having a location as a kind of gateway to this peninsula of the bridge of civilizations has seen settlements in almost every period of the history because of its unique characteristics such as geo-strategic location, abundance of underground and surface sources, and has been home to many ancient civilizations.Covering our studying area, the town of Hınıs as part of the Eastern Anatolia region that incorporates a great historical and cultural wealth is located in the Upper Murat-Van district of the region in question. The town in a mountainous area away from about 150 kilometres of the city is in the southeast of Erzurum on which it depends administratively. In spite of the harsh climate and challenging physical conditions of the East Anatolia, the town has been inhabited since ancient times. However, there have been few studies so far conducted scientifically in the district. With this study, it is aimed to shed some light on the ancient history of the town by deepening the historical and archaeological research done little in the history of the town to date. Surface findings obtained during the surface research we carried out and the bulk of the centres researched thoroughly belong to the Urartu period. I think that this study can be useful in the disclosure of the ancient history of Hınıs district and will form the basis for further studies.Key Words: Hınıs, Urartian, Erzurum, East Anatolia
